“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed” – John 8:36

Everyone ought to be truly free and independent from the shackles of ignorance and from every other thing that stands against the manifestation of the plan and purpose of God for us. The major obstacle in our life is ignorance. We do not seem to have any grip of the knowledge of the power that truly sets us free – the knowledge of Jesus and His divine nature. As children of God, we ought to be victorious in adverse situations, such as poverty, sickness and all manner of attacks. The power to victory lies within the divine nature of God – THE WORD OF GOD. The good news remains that the knowledge of Jesus Christ and His redeeming power of Grace have set us free from all earthly perplexities and suffering. Rather than let this power work for us, we have instead sold our birthright to the devil who continues to hold us hostage. There is absolutely no difference between the one who is held hostage by the devil and a nation still being held down by the colonial masters. Both of them are unable to think outside the box, they behave more like robots who are constantly manipulated by the one who manufactures them, in order to give the desired result. This is the time to gain true independence from the unseen evil power. Many did NOT follow Jesus because they had problems with His origin as a CHILD OF GOD, as well as His DIVERGENT TEACHINGS, which were unique and different from the trend at that time. Even though the message of salvation through Jesus was very clear, the people were not ready to embrace the victory of the cross. The people continue to plunge deeper and deeper into the net and traps set by the devil and his cohort.

To be free from the devil is to embrace Jesus and His commands. The power that continues to put the devil under check is the Spirit of Christ that dwells in us. This is the power of God – the eternal word of God which manifested as Jesus Christ. Jesus was manifested by God so He could destroy every evil work of the devil, Therefore, God has already made a way for each and every one of us to experience His faithfulness and power. In order to tap into this power, we need to experience the baptism of the Holy Spirit so we can experience a shift to a new realm of understanding and power. The Holy Spirit gives the anointing that breaks every yoke, the power to take authority in prayers; the power to hold unto God by faith; the power to recognize His Grace upon our lives, the power to be free from ignorance and the evil machinations of men. The divine nature of Jesus Christ is THE ETERNAL WORD OF GOD which is already in you as spirit– “... Christ in you the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:26-27). Therefore, when we follow the teachings of the master and endeavor to obey His commands, we are made to partake of His very nature which lies deep in our souls! Further to this, the scripture says we have been filled with the Christ spirit. It is, therefore, true that the Christ essence of God is in us, empowering us to gain victory over deceit, falsehood, poverty, disease, and ignorance. .( Colossians 2:9-10). The word of God is telling us today to align with the greatest power of God which is in us. This is the power that will truly set us free indeed!
