“Know therefore that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His lovingkindness to a thousandth generation with those who love Him and keep His commandments – Deuteronomy 7:9

Every child of God believes that God is a covenant-keeping God who would not break any of His promises to His children. In fact, God is always alive to His avowed responsibilities to His people, or to humanity in general. First, we become God’s people by following God and doing His commandment. In return, He becomes our God by fulfilling all His promises to us. I have come to understand that, aside from directing our footsteps along the paths of lofty spiritual ideals and growth, God does not necessarily turn away from His children, or suffer them for too long without fulfilling their needs. Everything we need from our father in heaven is already provided; we only need to ask for it, and then receive it by his power and authority. When God gives, He adds no sorrow to it! I do not believe that when we suffer deprivation or affliction, God willed it in order for us to grow spiritually. Something is definitely wrong along the spiritual paths that must be corrected. I have seen people, not just Christians, suffer for too long without the basic necessities of life. And when these things eventually come, they come very late. What is striking about this situation is the fact that, what you seek from God, other people already have it in abundance. Even those who don’t pray or go to church as you do are not as pressed or pressured for the good things of life like you do. For instance, what do you need? A car, a house, food or money? Other people have these things already! Even people without jobs have cars dashed to them as gifts. For so many years, some have prayed for fruits of the womb without success. Yet, others have children more than they can care for. There are even incidents of unwanted pregnancies that people throw away. Then why is yours different, even after praying for so many years. There are so many reasons why our challenges are not solved. The reason is our BAD ORIENTATION. Most of us believe strongly that the devil is the reason why we are continuously deprived. We also believe that God is perpetually at war with the devil in order to give us a good life. Further to that is the fact that we have so much “weaponized” God, erroneously believing that God is a God of war and that He is always waring with the devil on our behalf. That is not true! God does not have to fight the devil to make provisions for us. All we need, God has already provided! We only have to unlock and receive His blessings. In doing that, we have to follow certain principles in obedience to the commandments of God. These principles are as follows:
1. Live above fears (LAF). In the past twenty years, I have operated within the principle of LAF. In fact, I used to have a poster hung down the wall of my room, boldly written in RED, “FEARLESS”. This is because I learned early enough that once we live below fear level, negative things happen to us. Jesus says to Jairus, ‘Don’t be afraid; just believe.’” ~ Mark 5:36. Jesus made that statement even when it was clear that Jairus daughter was dead. This means that our fears prevent the power of God from working for us. The Master also tells us not to worry about anything whatsoever. (Luke 12:22-26) The position of Jesus was echoed a long time by God through His prophet Isaiah thus; “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.” (Isaiah 43:1)
Now beloved, take a deep breath and exhale out all your fears today. Do not be afraid of the devil anymore. Avoid his path and look up to God alone. Stop talking with the devil! Attune with God alone and confess His promises. Believe in His power to manifest His promises. DO NOT LOOK OR THINK ABOUT WHAT THE DEVIL CAN DO OR WHAT YOU IMAGINE THE DEVIL IS DOING TO YOU. That is going to pull you down! FOCUS ONLY ON GOD AND WHAT YOU WANT FROM HIM and hold onto Him.
Lord Jesus Christ, I thank you for the revelation of the scriptures. You are my provider and strong tower. Everything I need, I now receive by your name and authority. AMEN.
