MENTAL POISONING – THE ROOT CAUSE OF YOUR PROBLEMS

April 13th 2019

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things” - Philippians 4:8

This topic has become increasingly very important due to the miserable circumstances we face on each passing day. One of the greatest wonders among the things that God created is you. From the outside, you are endowed with a physical body; in the inside lies the spiritual YOU, that which hears directly from God. Your mind is configured to attract all manner of impressions, whether negative or positive. While God has the power to control what you can attract through your mind power, He usually does not do that, as He already gave you a free will to act as you desire. Mental poisoning is a state of psychological and emotional imbalance which tend to place anyone in a state of perpetual disharmony or failure. Anger, hatred, envy, ill wishes, and the like are thoughts that are destructive to the emotional and psychological states of the person. It has been scientifically proven that the blood can be poisoned with a thought of anger for example, and many of our diseases begin this way. So it's logical to say that guarding our thoughts can actually make us healthier. What you allow into your mind determines either your success or failure rates. Negative thoughts create a negative shift in your mental balance. You experience the things you believe!

The Bible says in Proverbs 15:14, “A wise person is hungry for knowledge, while the fool feeds on trash” You can either feed on truth, or on trash. Whatever you choose to feed your mind with is what is going to happen in your life. — Garbage in, garbage out. If you want to be wise, you’ve got to feed every day on truth, not trash. If you want to be rich, start to see, visualize and imagine yourself as rich already. DO NOT FOCUS OR THINK ABOUT THE THINGS THAT WILL MAKE YOU BECOME JEALOUS OR ENVIOUS OF ANOTHER; DO NOT FEAR THE DEVIL; DO NOT DWELL TO MUCH ON YOUR FAILINGS AND DISAPPOINTS. LEARN TO MOVE ON IN LIFE NO MATTER WHAT HAS HAPPENED. From this day onward, try to seal off your mind against negative assumptions, fears, anxiety, worries, envy etc. There is a replay mode in you that tend to replay the content of your mind, over and over until it becomes a part of your life. The word of God is telling us today to focus our mind on truth and other nobler things of life. It’s better to engulf your mind with positive thoughts, rather than get controlled by negative assumptions and monumental falsehood. Awake to the reality of life; you are what you think!

Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I submit my heart and mind onto you today for purification. Lord, take possession of my mind and infuse me with your truth. Father, by the power of the Holy Spirit, I overcome every infirmity and weakness caused to my life as a result of wrong and impure thoughts. Guide me henceforth into perfection. AMEN.
