PLANT A SEED OF GROWTH TODAY

“ Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” - Luke 6:38

To grow and to expand, either materially or spiritually is a difficult and complex process. Although many spiritual principles have been evolved and books written on the subject, one thing is very clear; to grow and to expand, or to acquire abundance and retain same has nothing to do with physical strength in terms of how much energy you are able to throw about. Were that to be the case, the lame, the armless, the blind or those with physical disabilities would not be millionaires, while the able ones, strong and energetic are not able to achieve as much. This insight explains the scriptures of today which seek to turn our attention to the alchemy of abundance, rather than the physical abilities to break even. The scriptures are telling us today to first, give, that we may receive; secondly, develop a capacity to receive abundance; thirdly, reposition your psyche and attitude to receiving from God. We must develop a capacity to receive, capacity to retain and enjoy wealth, and capacity to distribute wealth. HOW? Believe that God can enlarge and expand your horizons, and then make efforts to obey the commandments of God relating to abundance. Our main hindrance to receiving from God is our lack of capacity to receive and to retain wealth. The widow in 2 Kings 4:6 explains the point.

The miracle of the oil continued to flow until she had no more jars to store the oil. So, she was only able to store what her jars could possibly retain. In fact, the oil stopped multiplying when all her jars were filled up. It follows that, with more jars, she would have stored more oil. As your capacity increases, so does the blessing flow in your life. The word of God is telling us today that our generosity goes a long way in making us develop a capacity to receive from God. And that our capacity to receive, determines how much we’re capable of receiving from God. This means God will not give a blessing we cannot handle either spiritually or physically. The Israelites’ journey took forty years simply because God’s people lack the capacity to accept, appreciate and act on the blessings of God. Our capacity to receive and understand the flow of God’s blessings will either release or limit our potential for success. To increase our capacity, we must learn to take God by His Word and to think beyond our imagination and limitations. To Increase your capacity to receive and to retain wealth: 1. Ask God to increase your capacity. (1 Chronicles 4:10)Believe that God would reward you 2. Get out of your comfort zone, and embrace new challenges. Start to do something you previously thought was impossible (Genesis 12:1-2) 3. See through God’s eyes. This means we have to see into the future; believe God, and see things the way God sees them. Believe in the power of God to change situations. (2 Chronicles 20:20) 4. Avoid negative conversations with people who are neither motivated nor capable of bigger dreams. 5. Associate with dynamic and progressively minded people.

Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, enlarge my borders and also enlarge my heart so I can run the way of your commandments. Lord, enlarge my steps so I can receive your wealth and prosperity. I receive deliverance and enlargement for my life today. The Lord shall increase me more and more, me and my children. AMEN
