THE BALM OF GILEAD!

22^nd MARCH 2020

^“For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world except for the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God”? – 1 John 5:4-5

Plagues and epidemics or even pandemics have ravaged humanity throughout its existence, often changing the course of history and, at times, signaling the end of entire civilizations. Today, the world is visibly shaken by a new disease that the scientists identify as Coronavirus or COVID – 19 as they choose to call it. There is no doubt that so many are plagued by this disease, and in some extreme cases, people have died. Medicine seems drowned by this strange disease as medical personnel labor, day and night seeking curative and preventive measures for the disease. Although the disease may be strange to humans, definitely not strange to God. In so many churches across the world, deliverance services are held so many times a day with the aim of delivering the children of God from this pandemic. There do not seem to be an end in sight, as the children of God await His mercy and deliverance. But the good news is that even though we aren’t seeing the end of the plague as humans, God has certainly seen the end of it all! The revelation to the church is that the world has gradually come to the end of the nightmare, and we are free indeed! I continue to declare this by faith, and I call upon you today to join me in making this declaration of deliverance to the whole world!

 As God’s people, we are called to declare the faithfulness of God by faith. The word of God that heals our infirmities and afflictions draw strength from our individual and collective faith in the power of God to transform and to restore us in times of perplexity and anxiety such as this period.

Beloved, I declare today that there is a balm in Gilead! Jesus Christ is the balm of Gilead! Why then do the children of God suffer so many afflictions and fall constantly below the belt of diseases, spiritual and psychic attacks? The holy spirit tells me that the weaker vessel is easily overcome by a stronger vessel. But a child of God truly born by the spirit of God is a stronger vessel in all respect and an overcomer in every situation.

 Today’s word tells us that by placing faith in the Lordship and Sonship of Jesus Christ, we are truly delivered from afflictions and infirmities. This also means that our faith and belief that Jesus Christ is the son of God automatically translates us to sons of God. (John 1:12) The power of a son of God is the power of the word of God who is also God! A son of God is an overcomer, for his light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it (Ref: John 1:5) Nevertheless, the miracle that we seek during this trying moment will come in two ways:

First, you have to combat the virus physically. In this instance, we have to listen and take medical advice. This is not the time to be stubborn. But a time to exercise precautions. Read medical literature regarding how to take precautions during this period.

Secondly, we have to be ready to submit to the ONLY, AND ONE TRUE power of God, the one who has the power of life and death; it pleases God to use this one as a ransom for the whole world. Therefore, I declare again that the world is safe and protected in the name of Jesus Christ, for that, is the will of God. Amen!Therefore, as God’s people set apart for his kingdom, we stand in the gap during this trying moment for everyone as we make the declaration of healing, safety, and protection upon the world!

Bear constantly in your mind that a Son of God, born by the spirit of God fears nothing, and sees no darkness for he by himself is LIGHT that shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome him!Beloved, I need to emphasize here that God is Spirit, and Jesus Christ is also Spirit, and both dwell in you as one indivisible Spirit in unity with the Holy Spirit! Collectively, this is the one power that overcomes the spirit of the antichrist as well as every other contrary spirit in the world, be it disease, infirmity or affliction! (1 John 4:3 – 4) Therefore, from today, I call on everyone to continue our daily prayer against every disease occurring in the world right now. Infuse the world with your individual and collective healing anointing. Jesus Christ is the Lord of life and death; By His stripes, we are healed! (Ref: Isaiah 53:5)

  PRAYER

Father in heaven, I thank you for the gift of Jesus Christ, the one who gives me protective coverage all the time. I believe that your light and life are omnipotent, and I trust in your word all the time. Therefore, I declare that the world is healed, safe and sound from this day onward. By thy Spirit, we overcome the deadly pestilence of the night and the arrows that fly by noonday. Thank you, father. In Jesus name. AMEN
