Living Waters Mission is a Faith Based Community with a Mission to follow Christ’s call: sharing the Gospel with the lost ones who still dwell in ignorance by employing God’s revelation, wisdom and strength.
In order to fulfill our mandate, we have embarked on the training of VOLUNTEERS as Missionaries for local and Oversea Missions. We have SHORT TERM, LONG TERM and RELATIONAL Missionary works. All Missionaries are however empowered to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and the Christian faith, administer sacrament and to offer humanitarian assistance, especially in the areas of HEALING, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, HEALTH CARE, EDUCATION, ORPHANAGES and AGED CARE. We also do Mission PLANTING i.e. establishing our Missions across the world through evangelism, as Christ commanded in the great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-18.
This Great Commission applies to Christians today who have received Power through the gift of the Holy Spirit. It is not an assignment for every Christian. The Scriptures says in Act 1:8-9:
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth”.Our Missionary training is to impact the knowledge of the scriptures fully in the aspirants, lead them to a fuller revelation and realization of the WORD of God within their hearts. At the close of the training exercise, Missionaries are commissioned and given the authority and mandate to be Christ ambassadors throughout the whole world. The periods of training are as follows:
The WORD of God is Christ and is resident in each of us. He manifested on earth in human form as Jesus Christ. Our mission is to proclaim Christ as the only way to abundant, eternal life. We proclaim him to all nations where there are no Gospel witnesses (Matthew 28:19). Our Mission of sharing Christ does not end with a sinner’s salvation. Our mission includes to make sons of God - not immature believers. Thus, Living Waters Mission involves not only evangelism but also discipleship and Apostleship.
Living Waters Mission relies on the revelation by the Holy Spirit, and the power of the Eternal Word in carrying out its mandate. Sharing the Gospel humbly and passionately side by side with humanitarian services and healing are our Christian mission. But we cannot do it alone. While our mission is sharing the WORD of God, the power and results come from Our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ. He gives us the wisdom, strength, and desire to witness! Through our witness, He works repentance and faith in the seekers’ heart (2 Corinthians 5:20-21)
Because it is God's work, missionary assignment is a voluntary contribution to Living Waters Mission. Missionaries must be able to understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ and have a strong relationship with Christ. Such a relationship guards them from hypocrisy. “But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence; and keep a good conscience so that in the thing in which you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame. (1 Peter 3:15-16). Jesus assured that suffering would accompany missions, but God uses it for good.
