BE AT PEACE WITH GOD AND MAN – RESOLVE YOUR INNER CONFLICTS

23rd NOVEMBER 2021

“So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.” – James 4:17

It is impossible to go through life without experiencing an inner conflict between doing something proper and something not correct. The nature of the flesh is to commit sin and become liable to punishment under the law. Some inner conflicts occur when we choose between two desires—one that is selfish and the other of an unselfish kind. For instance, finding yourself in a very tight situation where you had no choice but to convert another’s property for your gains without the owner’s permission.

Sometimes, it has to do with choosing between two conflicting loyalties, such as loyalty to a friend and devotion to justice or honesty. Either way, we experience an inner conflict in trying to make a choice.

As children of God, we should maintain a healthy mind by cleansing our minds and hearts from the devil’s manipulations. But this is usually not possible if we do not rely on Christ and seek His grace in moments of trials. To place reliance on Christ is to do NOTHING without first seeking his guidance. He is always there to help us resolve every internal conflict. An unresolved inner conflict prevents us from experiencing God’s love and His Grace.

The word of God is telling us today to make amends anytime we realize that we made a wrong move—possibly one that resulted in hurting someone else or one in which our conscience had been battered. Please move quickly to make up for it as soon as possible and ask for God’s forgiveness. That is one way to heal your conscience and to remain in Christ. Ask God to heal your heart and infuse you with love and peace today and always.

PRAYERS

AMEN. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank you for the blood of Jesus Christ and his righteousness. Today, I declare the blood of Christ sanctifies me; therefore, my flesh has no power over me anymore. Lord, I rebuke every evil manipulation of my conscience, and I declare my heart is cleansed, and there is no condemnation against me.
