BREAKING THE CYCLE OF DEMONIC POWERS AND AFFLICTIONS (PART 2 OF 2)

26th OCTOBER 2022

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled” – 2 Cor. 10:3-6

Today, first, I like to emphasize one basic fact: Not every obstacle or setback we face in life is rooted in demonic activity. Far from that! Also, becoming a super-skilled prayer warrior in spiritual warfare will not solve all of your problems because all of your problems do not originate from demons. Also, getting hyper-focused on identifying demons and tearing down strongholds can actually perpetuate the incidences of repetitive negative and demonic attacks in your life. That is so because what we magnify tends to manifest. Therefore, if you magnify the devil, and make him bigger in your eyes, the devil will surely manifest!  Also, if you magnify Jesus, His glory will inspire you to overcome by His grace.

There is no doubt that evil, demons and malevolent spirits do exist around us in our environment. But they will not attack us only if they succeed in building a stronghold of evil manipulations in our minds. Unfortunately, that often happens when our mind is filled with thoughts and beliefs contrary to the knowledge of the word of God and the spirit of Christ. Thus, the things that we pay allegiance tends to manifest in our life.

When you create a demonic cycle of manifestation, it becomes difficult to break because you are yet to realise that a negative mental stronghold is involved in your life’s drama; You can’t break the power of something you don’t know exists.

Therefore, to break the repetition of the calamity in your family, humble yourself and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the word of God, your double-edged sword that will enable you to wipe away the demonic strongholds in your mind. There are many principles and scriptural verses you can deploy for this purpose, which by themselves are more powerful weapons than anything Satan has in his arsenal.

The starting point is that you dig down to the root of your thoughts. What do you think about; What fear of harm do you have? Remove that from your mind as quickly as possible. No one can harm you because the word of God says so! Thereafter, forgive anyone who hurt you because Jesus says so. Receive forgiveness from the Lord for your wrong thinking and self-sabotage. God is faithful and merciful to forgive us if we ask!  Ask the Lord to fill you with His Holy Spirit, love the people around you, take on a new attitude, and call those positive  things that be not as though they were. As you do, you’ll begin to see things as He does—through the eyes of faith—and your behaviour will begin to change. You’ll break the demonic cycle and stop walking in repetitive calamities. When Jesus sets you free, you are free indeed (John 8:36).

Again, the word of God tells us today that, to break repetitive afflictions built by the demons in your mind, you have to make a purposeful and diligent effort to cast down the imaginations that defy the Word of God. As believers, we have the privilege of using God’s Word to tear down barriers erected against His truth. We, therefore, must strive to mature in obedience to God’s word. Although your imagination is a barrier, God’s word sets you free! But you must make a deliberate effort to cast down every contrary thought or belief against the spirit of Christ and the word of God.

PRAYER

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank you for Grace and the Faith to hear you today. Father, I release my mind to you now for strength and the will to cast down every wrong belief and thoughts which goes against the spirit of Christ and the word of God. I am delivered indeed. Thank you, father. AMEN
