BRIDGING THE GAP – CONNECTING YOUR HEART WITH GOD!

^“ The mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” – Colossians 1:26-27

 

It would appear as if life has not been kind to some. While some go through life with ease and record great successes, some barely can afford the basic things of life. While some work hard daily to achieve significant success, others seem to have silver spoons in their mouths right from the time of their birth. While some live with fear and panic over insecurity, others are safe and have no worries. While some seem to be experiencing loneliness, and a feeling of being alone with no close relations or friends to give the necessary support, others have the joy of a family and a community of friends to draw strength during difficult moments.

What is very clear from these examples is the fact that we are all situated differently, whether in the physical or in the spiritual. Some have told me clearly that God has not been kind to them as they continue to grapple with the negative realities of life in order to make ends meet. How do we possibly explain these different situations?

First, you must understand the fact that everything you see in the outside is a result of what is going on in the spiritual! How? Using a simple analogy, when you are healthy, you are able to express yourself in a vigorous manner, such as being cheerful, up and running, thinking straight and focused. So, good health is an inner condition that manifests from the outside as a cheerful disposition, ability to hit the ground running and ability to exert energy at work. Note therefore that, the manifestation of pain in the body, no matter how slight, is a sign that something has gone wrong inside of you.

Applying this example to your material status, when we have contentment, happiness and are doing great, it tells us that our inside is great. However, when our financial state is low ebbed, it means that the inside needs to be adjusted.  

What then is in the inside of you which controls what happens outside? The bible says, Christ in you is the power that connects you with the glory of God; it connects you to wealth and health (Colossians 1:26 – 27)  Christ in us is the eternal word of God which created all things, and therefore also able to create for us anything we want. The principle, therefore, is to connect your heart with Christ or God at all times! When your heart is thus connected, you will experience the sublime presence of God which brings God’s love and anointing to cause manifestations to happen.

The bible says, in the presence of God there is an anointing that breaks every yoke! Connect your heart with God by meditating on God’s word daily, especially at quiet times in the morning and late at night before going to bed. You will be amazed at what happens thereafter. The presence of the Lord will overwhelm your heart and spread to touch every aspect of your life. You will never be the same again!

PRAYER

Lord Jesus Christ, I ask that you connect my heart with thy spirit today so that I may experience your presence and anointing in my life. Thank you, Jesus, for the power of your love. AMEN
