DON’T GIVE UP!

14th NOVEMBER 2021

“Take courage! Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded” – 2 Chronicles 15:7

As the year draws to a close, I see so many of us wonder if they can still count their blessings. Some have also given up on the year and fixed their minds and gaze on the years to come to start afresh and make a meaningful impact in life. Rather than feel this way, I want you to be courageous and have faith still. God is the God of the eleventh hour. He will indeed speak into our lives at the right time.

Life is full of challenges, which are meant to strengthen the spirit and light up our spiritual paths. Frequently, our ingenuity cannot possibly solve our significant problems, and so we find ourselves on the brink of breakdown. A glance into your past would show you how rough your life journey has been, yet you survived every bit of it.

Notwithstanding what you might be going through, I want to let you know that life has a lot of good things to offer to us. That is because contrary to our belief, the sovereignty of God rules over all the heavens and the earth, and His power to restore is open to us always. Therefore, don’t give up on any issue.

One of the reasons we are majorly delimited is our inability to focus on the things we wish to manifest into our lives. Some of us are equally distracted when moving on the path of success. The fact is that those who are not focused are easily distracted and can easily be misled or derailed. Fear is also playing a significant role in our lives. So many believe that they cannot achieve a set goal. Consequently, they lose their balance and focus.

Today, the scripture says to you, don’t give up, do not let your hands become weak, for God shall surely reward every of your work! That means you must not give up even in the face of temptations or losses, for God will never tempt us beyond our abilities (1 Corinthians 10:13). Even as you fight against temptation, God is right there with you, and He will give you the power to overcome. Therefore, don’t give up trying to resist temptation.

Also, when you are stretched to a breaking point, don’t give up no matter how persistent and long drawn these challenges have become. Jesus says to every believer – my grace is sufficient for you. His grace is indeed sufficient for us in all situations. (2 Corinthians 12:9). Most importantly, don’t give up even when your long-asked prayers of many years are yet to be answered.

Like the persistent widow, don’t give up, for you are almost there! (Ref. Luke 18:1). Beloved, do not give up even when the devil completely snuffs out your faith – he is a liar. The devil is known to manipulate our emotions, causing us to fret and panic unnecessarily. The devil knows that if you are in God, you are protected and safe. So, he tries to remove your hold on God by first snuffing out your faith in God.

Indeed, it’s difficult to surmount challenges in difficult moments. But you must hold onto God till the last minute! Remember, when your faith fails, God remains faithful. The path to living in faith has always been difficult. But you are not alone on this journey of faith. Those more outstanding than you went the same route several years ago. That is the time to learn to imitate their faith (Hebrews 13:7). Beloved, starting from today, begin the fight of keeping the faith – Don’t wallow. Get up and get back in the fight. Don’t give up!

PRAYER

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank you for your word today. No matter how tough the challenges of life may seem, I shall overcome them by thy spirit. Lord, I align my faith with you today. Therefore, I declare the forces of evil shall not consume me, for your plan and purpose for me shall be fulfilled. Thank you, blessed redeemer. AMEN.
