HOW TO OVERCOME CHALLENGES IN LIFE

28th NOVEMBER 2022

“Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him” – James 1:12

No matter how carefully you plan your activities, in some cases, you cannot escape falling into trouble or having obstacles on your way to excellence. While we or others pose some challenges, some are created by divine providence to strengthen us.

One key element to watch out for in times of challenges is to ensure that you are not hurting anyone or breaking any law, for these may be the reason for the challenges confronting you at the moment. If that is the case, you must quickly sort yourself out by getting the proper counsel. Another reason we may face challenges could be a result of envy from others. Some people are petty and envious when they see you breaking new ground, and they would stop at nothing to see you fall as you climb the ladder of life.

The word of God is telling us today that challenges in life are as inevitable as the break of a new dawn; they will surely come. However, there is usually a golden dawn at the end of any obscure night. God provides the light to see and the staff to lean on during these dire moments. One who stands with God achieves victory in the end.

Are you currently facing some challenges in your relationship or activities? Note the following points.

1.    Focus on the unseen power and love of God. Only then would you begin to see your problem from the proper perspective – God is more significant and mightier than your problems.

2.    Trust in God’s plan even when it doesn’t make sense. God’s ways are mysterious; seek God’s plan and follow His direction.

3.    See the supernatural in all situations and pursue holiness. Live a life of spiritual discipline. Study the scriptures daily; get involved with regular prayers, and ask the Holy Spirit to help you appreciate God in the ordinary things of life.

4.    Take one step at a time. Choose to take whatever next step the Holy Spirit leads you to take every day. Don’t give up when you’re frustrated, for success awaits you in the end!

PRAYER

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I take solace in Psalm 31:24, which says to me: “Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord”. Therefore, I declare my expectations shall not be in vain, for I know my God shall supply all my needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Unto you oh Father, be glory forever and ever. AMEN.
