LEARNING TO EXPRESS FAITH

I BELIEVE!

6th NOVEMBER 2022

“But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind” – James 1:6

Sometimes when faced with an adverse situation, our faith in God and life seem to crumble.  During that period of confusion and disappointment, people often ask if God truly lives, and is in charge of our lives.

The reason many of us feel that way is that we do not seem to understand how God works. Many times, by some divine opportunities, we are allowed to go through certain experiences in life to prove to us that God truly exists. Some of these experiences are usually not too good by our human definitions or judgement. But if we believe that ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD for those who believe in God, then we are assured of victory in the end. Therefore, let us give thanks to God nevertheless!

The best place to be when we are struck by situations adverse to our faith is to recoil back to the inner recess of the Spirit; this is the threshold of our inner temple where Christ dwells. When we confess the word of God upon our situation and align with the Christ Spirit with gratitude and thanksgiving, our pain and disappointment are gradually transmuted and translated to joy and peace of mind.

If you believe, change or healing is possible no matter the problem you are facing.  Just like the woman was instantly cured of several years of haemorrhage on touching the hem of the master’s robe, so will you experience a positive change if you believe! Clearly, your belief in God plays a key role in changing every adverse situation to a positive end. But how it works is one of the greatest mysteries of God, which you must learn in your Christian journey.

Note also that Faith usually does not mean that we get everything we prayed for, just the way we presented them to God. It only means that we can encounter God in prayers by faith, he consoles us with the victory that we seek in our prayers. Our yearnings are created by an inner void that only the perfect Spirit of God can fill; When that happens, we experience a sense of inner peace or contentment, which are indescribable.  All human beings have problems, whether rich or poor, white or black! That in itself does not mean that God does not exist or that He has forsaken humanity!

Therefore, commit your problems to God, pray to God with thanksgiving and believe in His power to fill your inner void with joy and contentment.  In God’s spirit lies the happiness that we crave, NOT in the things that we madly crave! The situation you are going through right now might not be the best you wished for yourself, BUT believe without doubting that God walks through all things to bring us happiness, and God is working out a path of victory for you this moment, in His own way. AMEN.

PRAYER

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I declare that my faith is built on the solid rock of Christ, I believe in your power to change every situation and circumstance in my life for good. Lord, I decree no confusion or fear shall eat up my faith in thee. Therefore, I reject and renounce every false teaching and deceitful manipulation of my understanding of God, His written word and Jesus Christ. Father, I declare that your promises are manifesting in my life right now, and the Holy Spirit counsels and empowers me always. Amen.
