Today’s Scriptures: “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him – Ephesians” 1:17

A revelation of Jesus Christ brings power, victory, healing and grace abundant to us. The two disciples on the road to Emmaus were Jesus disciples who witnessed his ministry, yet, THEY DID NOT KNOW HIM. Jesus wants to come closer to us, love us and show us his endless grace, but our minds are far away from him. Just like these two disciples, we constantly fail to recognize the voice, and presence of Jesus around us, even in the ordinary things of life. The Master is always seeking after us and opening our inner eyes, so we can have a revelation of him. Why is it so difficult to know Jesus, and to have a relationship with him? Some of the reasons are: ONE- Lack of understanding of the scriptures, and our inability to trust God’s promises. Although we have read the scriptures, we do not believe in God’s word. TWO – We usually have a preconceived idea of who Jesus is and why he came. THREE – We have little faith and so do not believe in the fact that Jesus was truly raised from the dead.

FOUR - We continue to make the mistake of discounting what God has done, simply because we cannot explain it, or even believe in it. This is because, God usually uses natural things to manifest His will, and He also does things we can neither explain nor understand. Walking with Jesus and having a personal relationship with him gives us a better understanding of life, its travails and victory. The word of God is telling you today to seek Jesus and develop a personal relationship with him. When you walk with Jesus and fellowship with him, he will reveal himself to you, and you will never remain the same again. Also, just like the two disciples on the way to Emmaus, you will be filled with the power to testify of him. With the revelation of Jesus comes victory over death, for that is his mission, to give us eternal life – we partake of his divine nature, and reap everlasting life.

Lord Jesus Christ, I thank you for the revelation of the scriptures and of your divine nature. Lord, by the power of the Holy Spirit, I take authority in the word of God, and I step into the realm of eternal life NOW. Therefore, I declare I am a new creation and I have become indestructible to satanic influences and every other undercurrent beyond my control. AMEN
