THE CHRISTIAN JOURNEY THROUGH LIFE

25th OCTOBER 2021

“But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because from the beginning God chose you to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth. He called you to this through our gospel that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ” – 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14

This topic has become recurrent due to the problems we are currently going through as believers.

The life of a Christian is a life of FAITH in God through Jesus Christ. Since God has already chosen you for salvation, then be assured of His power to deliver you through every odd. The Christian Journey in life is built on the following cardinal principles:

–         Faith in Jesus Christ – to lead the way into eternity;

–         Faith in Jesus – to lead us to the truth about life, God and His nature;

–         Faith in Jesus Christ – to give us a life of abundance and life that spans into eternity.

 To embrace the above cardinal principles is to live and endure like Jesus Christ. To live and endure like Jesus Christ is to live by faith – believing that God is always in charge of everything concerning us. By faith, we live in strict obedience to the commands and teachings of Christ, believing that He will perfect every of our decision and sanctify everything about us. To live a Christian life is to live a life of faith in God’s word. As Christians, our challenges and problems in life won’t disappear; instead, we are given power and authority to live through our difficulties, surmount every obstacle and come out victorious! How may you ask? “By letting Jesus take the lead at all times”. The greatest joy you will come to experience in life is the joy of having Jesus lead you in every situation!

When we thus allow the Master into our life, we are confident that He leads; even though we experience horror and pains, He brings us out well refined, safe, and nurtured by experience.

The word of God today ministers to us regarding His sovereign Grace of salvation to the whole world.  The sovereign Grace of God in salvation is the fact that God chose everyone to be saved, but only those who believe in God’s truth in His word are genuinely saved and can share from the glory of Christ. Start today by appreciating Jesus, His commands and principles.

If Jesus commands it, do it and have faith in His power to liberate you truly. When we live by faith in obedience to Jesus commands, we can share in His glory – His victory over death and partaking of His life of abundance, which spans into eternity.

PRAYER

Lord Jesus Christ, I believe in God’s plan for my salvation; therefore, I give thanks to God in all things. Lord, I live by faith in obedience to your commands and principles; therefore, I share in your eternal life. Lord, I share in your glory; therefore, I am covered and sanctified in everything I do. AMEN.
