THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST!

“Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’- John 7:38

Jesus promised those who believe in him an inner flow of the Christ Spirit – “Out of their hearts would flow rivers of living water”. While this may not be too clear to many, it reminds us of the great potential as Disciples of Christ. What is very clear to me is that the Holy Spirit makes His appearance at a point in our life, baptizes us, does a surgical operation on our hearts by way of circumcision, thereby letting loose from the heart a great inner flood of power in the character and power of God. Every Disciple is being called to recognize this upsurge of power, for it contains the very essence and power of God – THE CHRIST SPIRIT. This is the power, and the spirit of the son of God made manifest by the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit reveals and manifests the Christ Spirit; this happens when we receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit. The manifestation of the Christ spirit in you makes you a SON OF GOD under the control and influence of the HOLY SPIRIT. To flow with the Spirit of Christ, the son of God in the making must be united with the Holy Spirit, keeping in step with Holy Spirit and missing nothing He may want to do through us. There is usually no mistake about this; The Holy Spirit will speak only what He hears from the father”, which is usually aligned with the scriptures. This means that the Holy Spirit usually would not say something far different from what the Scripture says! Rather, the Holy Spirit usually steps on the foundation of what the Scripture says, revealing more truth and empowering us from a very high dimension.

The Holy Spirit is the vehicle that creates intimacy between God and us. When the Holy Spirit baptizes us, it gives room for the Spirit of Christ to arise from within us and overwhelms us from within, thereby empowering us from a high dimension. God wants intimacy with you today; The intimacy to flow in His power and to become His son! But the intimacy we talk about here will come only through a process of rebirth by the power of the Holy Spirit. New birth in the Holy Spirit releases an inflow of the Christ Spirit from within, and a new upsurge of spiritual potentials and power begins to arise from the heart and the belly of the one so reborn.

But firstly, to receive the Holy Spirit into your life, a SON OF GOD to be must learn Jesus’s ways, style, gentleness, indignation, impulses, and manner of doing things. In other words, to attract the Holy Spirit into our lives, we must always do what pleases God and what He prompts us to do. The Holy Spirit tells the heart of God and gives us prophetic revelation about the plans and purpose of God for humanity. But it would be best if you had the son’s power to execute what the Holy Spirit has revealed. It is the son’s power – the Spirit of Christ that changes everything from negative to positive! It is the Spirit of Christ that heals and reverses all things according to the will of God. It is the Spirit of Christ that restores and recreates all things.

There are three main steps to sonship; First, adopt the imitation of Christ as a deliberate way of life. Two, call forth the power of the Holy Spirit to help you to walk on the paths of the Master. Third, ask the Holy Spirit to baptize you and release the Christ Spirit into your life. It is time to become a true disciple of Jesus Christ and a Son of God. The harvest is plenty. The labourers are few.

PRAYER

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, today, I lift my head to the heavens to behold thy glory. Lord, sprinkle upon me thy divine waters and cleanse me from all my filthiness, idols and iniquities.  Father, I declare I possess a new heart and a new spirit. Lord, you have removed my heart of stone and given me a heart of flesh.  Therefore, I declare that thy spirit fills me up, and I flow with thy best intentions from this day onwards. AMEN
