THE GREAT RE-AWAKENING

9th JANUARY 2023

“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.” – Psalm 139:14

The most famous sermon ever preached was that by Jonathan Edwards, an American Theologian in 1741. That sermon is titled, “Sinners in the hands of an angry God”.  Very powerful sermon acting also as a catalyst for the First Great Awakening of 1730 – 1755. The sermon painted a horrific picture of sinners after death.

Today, however, rather than focus on what happens to a sinner when he dies, I wish to RE–AWAKEN us to how to live the mandate of God before we die.

Our creativity is a reflection of God as the ultimate creator. God made all things and His mercy and love are continually reshaping and restoring us.

Also, the Bible says God made man in His own image and likeness. That means the creative abilities of God are deposited in each of us as well. Also, the second part of psalm 19:14 says that the soul of man  acknowledges God’s creativity very well. Therefore, embodying your Soul’s Passion is a timely book that addresses our growing need to live a creative life. It reminds us that creativity is the energy of our life force and exists within every aspect of our lives. Creativity is not something you learn; it is something you are.

Today, I wish to remind us that we are spiritual being made up of creative energy. It’s time to re-awakening your consciousness to align with the creative power of God. As a human entity, using your God-given talents creatively and productively goes beyond planting a church or becoming a pastor. We need to do more by moving forward as we begin to serve His greatest purpose on earth. Creating involves envisioning, fashioning, and linking the product to societal needs.

God is constantly renewing and refreshing creation. That is why the world has continued to exist in spite of man’s negative attitude toward self-destruction. We therefore must start today to interface with God’s divine creativity, and move forward with building systems and lifestyles that will transform our lives individually, and cause us to leave the world in a better place than we met it.

  PRAYER

Lord God, I align with your creative energy today. Teach me wisdom to focus on what will transform my life, as well as impact the world positively. Thank you, Lord. AMEN.
