So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” - John 8:31-32
There are different kinds of truths, but which one truly sets you free from bondage and Satanic manipulations? There are three basic truths which we must endeavor to know in life; 1.Truth about God. 2. Truth about Christ; 3.Truth about man, and his relationship with God. When Jesus turned away the table of money changers and the seats of those selling doves in the temple, He says; “ It is written, my house shall be a house of prayers, but you have made it a den of robbers” (Matthew 21:13 ) This is to ensure that the sanctity of the temple is preserved for truth and worship. Same applies to you; you are the living temple of God, and God dwells in you (1 Corinthians 3:16) Are you ready to clear every impediments in your hearts and mind standing against the TRUTH AND KNOWLEDGE OF CHRIST? Are you ready to embrace the truth that sets you FREE? Obviously, this question is not easily answered due to our various religious and church affiliations!
THE TRUTH ABOUT GOD AND OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM remains that God is everywhere and He is Spirit. You were created by God to be used for His glory as a tool in His hands for good works (Ephesians 2:10) Since God is everywhere; He is capable of using you to serve His glory anywhere. Jesus taught us to pray to God; “Let thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10) God uses us to actualize His will on earth as it is in heaven, and this is one basic reason we were created. But for some reasons, like Jonah, we are often elusive and not wanting to serve the purpose of God. When we do that, we hamper our spiritual and material growths in life. Rather than be a son in the father’s house, we take the place of servants! And so, we become subservient to natural and satanic forces; take heed, therefore, that you do not sell your birthright to demons. Ask yourself today, in what way would I serve the purpose and good works of God here on earth?
