“God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?”- Numbers 23:19
Recently, I thought of refreshing my mind with some motivational tips and I stumbled on a plaque with the following inscription, “The road to success is always under construction”. The back of the plaque is written, “If you can dream it, you WILL achieve it”. No doubt, these two inscriptions are motivational enough to spur anyone to act with determination in the pursuit of a set goal. But the road to success is usually not a smooth one, and not many are willing to journey through. One great obstacle has always been, FEAR TO VENTURE, especially, when it will require us to spend money. We do not want to lose money, and so, we decide not to take any risk. Fear and progress are enemies, always fighting each other for supremacy. When we become intimidated by things that are ahead, we put the seed of doubt in our minds. We start to question our decisions, actions, and plans. In the process, procrastination sets in.
When fear comes into procrastination, the time becomes even more prolonged, resulting in years of delaying or postponing. Years of procrastination can result in depression, worthlessness, anger, regret, and blaming others for our own faults and shortcomings. No doubt, fear prevents some of the best things from hitting the surface of life. Are you currently procrastinating about moving from where you are at the moment and embracing where you believe God wants you to be? This is the time to leap in faith. Remember, no matter how much motivational talks goes into you, either from conferences, books reading or during your Sunday worship at church, they do not mean a thing if you are doubtful or afraid to implementing them in your daily life. The word of God is telling us today to shove away fears and doubts, and leap in faith, with full assurance that success will greet us because God is in absolute control of every of our moves. Place your trust in God today, for He does not fail anyone who holds onto Him. He is not a man who is unpredictable and lacking in moral integrity.
