The New Year is here again and the Gregorian calendar is been reset on this 1st January 2019 to start afresh! It is a day of reflection. This is a day to reflect on the previous years’ activities. While you may not be able to rewind the clock in order to correct past mistakes, it is a time to let go of the past and to embrace the new life given to us at Christmas. Aside from the birth of Christ that has already taken place in the world, which we celebrated at Christmas, nothing cosmic has taken place on this particular day. However, we are joyous and happy for the opportunity to start afresh on a clean slate. This opportunity is afforded everyone at Christmas when Christ was reborn in our soul and in all things giving us a new life, a stronger bond with God, and a greater and brighter light to dispel the darkness in our world.

The cosmic power of the new birth of Christ in us has given to you a new foundation to build a new and better reality for yourself in 2019. Happy New Year beloved! On this day, God says He will make everything new! Therefore beloved, stand upon the authority of the word of God in Revelation 21:5 and soar like the eagle. In the same breath, lean on the prophecy of Isaiah for all the children of God recorded in Isaiah 43:19. Finally, do not depart from the light of wisdom given to you in Job 11:14-18. These three pillars will keep you safe and sound at all times. On this auspicious moment, therefore, I want to wish you the best of 2019 beloved. My good thoughts rest upon the whole world today, especially upon you who have been with me throughout 2018 - all my friends, foes, brothers and sisters. May you be served, worshipped and nourished by all the cosmic forces of this day and throughout 2019 and beyond. AMEN.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, I come to you in this brand new year with a desire to move forward, not backward. Last year is gone with all its mistakes I’m eager to put the past behind and to press on toward the mark of the new life that you have given to me. In this year, I decree I shall be a conqueror in all things. Thank you Jesus, AMEN.

Mary Lawrence-Dokpesi was born in Nigeria to Patrick Abuda Obeakemhe and Juliana Fatimatu Obeakemhe, both from Ogbona Town.
