CHANGE YOUR ORIENTATION NOW! (PART 3 OF 3)

23rd MARCH 2022

“Know therefore that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His lovingkindness to a thousandth generation with those who love Him and keep His commandments” – Deuteronomy 7:9

Aside from fear and worries, another obstacle to our prayers is a wrong understanding of prayers. For instance, the following are necessary:

1.     Add action to your prayers. Prayer won’t do for us what we can do for ourselves. The human structure Is already configured by nature to work manually to achieve goals within the bounds of spiritual and physical laws. That means we have to plant crops and harvest crops for our food. We have to physically move from our house to places of work to earn money. We have to use our brains for invention and other strategic planning. When we are sick, we have to go to the hospital or take proper medication. Therefore, when we pray, we have to work manually towards the object of our prayers. If we don’t make any effort after praying, nothing will happen.

Prayer is an essence. It does two things for us:

1.     Prayer fuels our spirit, giving us courage, strength and wisdom to act manually.

2.     Prayer causes God to manifest in a mysterious way, such as when the walls of Jericho fell, the parting of the red sea, the multiplication of bread and fish by Jesus and Elijah and different times, the multiplication of oil by Elisha, or such as the mystical conception of Jesus Christ. In all these well-known examples, people acted at various times to activate and take advantage of the mysterious manifestation of God to make things happen.

3.     God uses Physical means to fulfil our needs. God is spirit; therefore, it is not likely that He would stretch forth His hands and give you money. He would normally do that through some physical means. So, when you pray, you have to watch out for possible indications of God’s visitation or manifestation. God can use other human beings or other physical objects to reach out to us. The superimposition of God’s supernatural powers on our terrestrial region is made possible because God is everywhere and in all things. When God manifest himself, it is unmistakable! That is because the hands of God are in all things. His voice is also in all things! Therefore, make peace with everyone, and be at peace with all things!

4.     Make the sacrifice of giving to others. Giving unlocks the heart of God to fulfilling His promises. God loves a cheerful giver, and what you sow is what you reap. It is your responsibility to take care of the poor in your midst!

5.     Cultivate the habit of forgiveness. God does not hear your prayers if you have not forgiven others. Before we start to pray to our heavenly father, we must first forgive others. Only then would God listen to our prayers. Otherwise, our prayers would be in vain.

6.     Be vigilant! Do not be misled or derailed. The fact that God talks to us does not mean that every voice is of God. The best way to understand which voice belongs to God is that; i. God speaks the language of Jesus; therefore, the voice of God will not act against the message of Jesus as stated in the scriptures. Therefore, watch out!

2. Avoid the pitfall of errors. Our inadequacies and weaknesses always count against us. Sin is one of the ways the devil steals away our blessings. Jesus did not die for us to continue in sin, and his death should stop our weaknesses. The Lord will not die for us again. God forgives, but do not make a habit of going back to sin deliberately!

That is a new day, a new beginning to fix all broken pieces, mend every crack and sow healthy seeds by doing it right. Apply the three principles of; LAF, adopt a correct approach to prayers, and avoid the pitfall of errors. These three will significantly alter the spiritual dynamics of the things around you, thereby bringing the promises of God to pass in your life.

AMEN.

PRAYER

Lord Jesus Christ, I thank you for the revelation of the scriptures. You are my provider and strong tower. Everything I need, I get by your name and authority. AMEN.
