ONE STEP TO YOUR FREEDOM! (PART 1 OF 2)

^“ The mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people. To them, God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” – Colossians 1:26-27

There is no doubt that so many have been displaced from the basic things of life, having lost their way in the ocean of life due to distractions and manipulations of all kinds. Nevertheless, the fact remains that you are fearfully and wonderfully created by the supreme God of all things, who considered it fit that you are made in the image of his essence and power. That you are created in God’s image and likeness is an agelong theory that not many have demonstrated in practical terms. However, this sordid fact has not removed from the fact that you are capable of becoming the person that God has created you to be.

The world is created in a hierarchical faction such that we are not all placed on an equal level in terms of material gift and spiritual acumen. So, you find those at the top rungs of the ladder exerting some form of material or spiritual controls or influence over the rest, especially those who lack the capacity to ward off such controls or manipulations. Some of these controls and manipulations come from religious bigotry, wrong spiritual teachings, overbearing master/servant controls, evil parental controls and the likes of them. Therefore, you need a solid foundation or a stronger rudder to steer through the ocean of life to safety.

Some of the effects of these controls and manipulations are the following:

–         Inability to think straight, even in matters relating to the ordinary things of life. Some people cannot think outside the box anymore; They have become fanatics of some shrewd spiritual or secular teachings, putting their emotional and psychological balance in jeopardy.  

–         Unnecessary fear and panic in the face of life’s challenges; Some have been tutored to believe that some malevolent spirits are about to impoverish them, cause them misfortune or kill them outright. These tendencies underscore the facts that challenges are aspects of life which we cannot run away from, but the grace of God continues to strengthen us to overcome challenges as they arise.

–         Firm beliefs in personal principles or treatises that continue to plunge the individual deeper into the bottomless pit of confusion, disease, ignorance and poverty.

How do we regain freedom from these evil manipulations so that we can have health and wealth? The first and basic step to setting yourself free from distractions and manipulations is a firmer or better understanding of your divine heritage, as well as the power you possess as a result of your new life in Christ Jesus. That means  you must know as fact the following:

–         That you are an image of God’s power and essence.

–         That as a believer, your new life in Christ Jesus gives you access to Jesus Christ, whose spirit and power dwell in you.

–         That as a child of God and a believer, no one can take God by surprise in any matter concerning your preservation and sustenance. Therefore, you will only experience the things you deliberately wish for yourself.

Today’s word reminds us of the power we possess as children of God, and as believers, for that matter; You have access to Christ sitting in your HEART for your sake, to give you life, and that you may experience it more abundantly. Therefore, open to Jesus Christ today, embrace him in your heart, and receive His power that gives positive transformation.

PRAYER

Lord Jesus Christ, I ask that you connect my heart with thy spirit today to experience your presence and anointing in my life. Thank you, Jesus, for the power of your love. AMEN
