‘ But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus’ – Philippians 4:19

Stop focusing on your lack or weaknesses. Instead, focus on what you already have, however small it is, and give thanks for provisions. When you focus on your lack, you increase your anxiety and fear; You also lose hope and deplete your Faith in God. As children of God, we do not lack anything because Jesus Christ already purchased everything we require in life, as well as the gift of eternal life. That is basic Christian teaching which you must hold to at all times. But that is not to say that Christians don’t lack the basic things of life. It’s just that we require Faith to access the promises of God.

Often, we affirm the promises of God, without actually believing in them in our hearts. And if we don’t believe, we cannot access them. God wants us to open His storehouse by Faith. He wants us to have His abounding GRACE! However, reminding us of the need for Faith does not make it easier to exercise Faith! But we can learn to use Faith by observing some basic principles. First, stop looking on what you do not have. Instead, focus on Jesus and all the abounding Grace that he purchased for you already. Two – Begin to do everything humanly possible to get to your goals. As you do that, believe in your heart that your victory is assured. Three – Give with radical generosity. It is in giving that we are richly blessed. Give willingly of time and resources. To bless those in need. The measure you give is the measure you get. Therefore, as God is blessings us, let us remember to bless others in return.

The word of God is telling us today to focus on Jesus and the promises of God. In Jesus, all Grace abounds to us so that having sufficiency in all things at all times, we may abound in every good work.

PRAYER

Father, today, in the name of Jesus Christ, I hold onto your promises of well-being and riches, and I am richly blessed. Lord, by the power of the Holy Spirit, I declare open the jar of God’s provisions and treasures, and I am empowered to access your bottomless bank account by Faith. Therefore, I tap into your promises from this day onwards. AMEN,

Mary Lawrence-Dokpesi was born in Nigeria to Patrick Abuda Obeakemhe and Juliana Fatimatu Obeakemhe, both from Ogbona Town.
