TRUE INDEPENDENCE AND HOW TO BE TRULY FREE

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed” – John 8:36

Today in Nigeria, the people celebrate the independence of their country from the colonial master, Britain. Happy celebration and Happy Holiday, Nigerians! This message is not for Nigerians alone, but a letter to the whole world!  I have always said to you that true independence is freedom from DISEASE, IGNORANCE AND POVERTY. Everyone ought to be genuinely free and independent from the shackles of ignorance and all the things standing between us and the manifestation of the plan and purpose of God for us. The major obstacle in our life is ignorance.  We do not seem to have any grip on the power in the knowledge that truly sets free. The knowledge that truly set us free is the knowledge of the ETERNAL WORD OF GOD that manifested as Jesus Christ. Therefore, we have a Lord and Master in Jesus Christ who brings us to the saving grace where we can align with God and His divine nature.

 

As children of God, we ought to be victorious in adverse situations, such as poverty, sickness and all manner of attacks. Beloved, your victory lies within the divine nature of God – THE WORD OF GOD! The good news remains that the knowledge of Jesus Christ and His redeeming power of Grace has set us free already from all earthly perplexities and suffering. But rather than let this knowledge work for us, we have instead sold our birthright to the devil who continues to hold us hostage. There is absolutely no difference between the one held hostage by the devil and a nation still being held down by left-handed leadership.! Both of them are unable to think outside the box because they behave more like robots, who are constantly manipulated by their manufacturers to achieve the desired result. This is the time to gain true independence from the unseen power of evil.

 

Many did NOT follow Jesus during His time because they had problems with His claims of being the SON OF GOD and His DIVERGENT TEACHINGS, which were unique and different from the trend at that time. Even though the message of salvation by Jesus was unmistakable, the people were not ready to embrace the victory of the cross. The people continue to plunge deeper and deeper into the nets and traps of the devil and his Agents.  TO BE FREE FROM THE DEVIL YOU HAVE TO EMBRACE JESUS AND HIS COMMANDS. The power that continues to put the devil under check is the Spirit of Christ that dwells in us, and only those who obey Jesus’ commandments will have access to this power.

 

The power I am referring to here is the Divine Spirit of God – the eternal word of God that manifested as Jesus Christ. God manifested Jesus to destroy every evil work of the devil. Therefore, God has already made a way for every one of us to experience His faithfulness and power through obedience to Jesus’ commandments.  To tap into the power of the Divine Spirit of God, we need to experience the baptism of the Holy Spirit as is usually experienced by all true disciples of the master. After that, we will experience a shift to a new realm of understanding and power. Remember, the Holy Spirit gives the anointing that breaks every yoke; Gives us the ability to take authority in prayers; Gives us the ability to hold onto God by faith; The ability to recognize His grace upon our lives; the power to be free from ignorance, disease and poverty; and the power to be free from the evil machinations of men.  Therefore, note that the divine nature of Jesus Christ is the same as the eternal word of God which is already in you – “… Christ in you is the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:26-27).

 

What do you do to be free? The answer is that if you follow the teachings of the master and endeavour to obey his commands, you will partake of his very nature, which lies deep in your souls! In furtherance of that fact, the scripture says we have been filled with the Christ spirit. It is, therefore, confirmed that the Christ essence of God is in us, empowering us to gain victory over hatred, deceit, falsehood, poverty, disease, and ignorance. All that is expected from us is a deliberate attitude of forsaking sin, and then follow Jesus’ footsteps to become alive to his saving grace and power (Colossians 2:9-10).

 

The word of God is telling us today to embrace Jesus in His teachings and commandments. This will align us with the most incredible power of God, which is in us. This is the power that truly set us free from disease, ignorance and poverty!

Once again, happy independence, Nigeria. Also, happy independence to everyone as you individually take the bold steps to align with the Divine Spirit today – the power that sets you free!

PRAYER

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank you for the revelation of your word today. Father, I ask for your Grace to partake of the divine nature of Christ – my Lord and saviour. The Holy Spirit quickens me with the power to overcome and to create every reality in my life. AMEN.
