HOW TO MOVE STEP BY STEP TO YOUR GOALS!

9th DECEMBER 2022

“Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.’” – Matthew 17:20

To achieve your goals, you must set for yourself some reasonable milestones. With milestones in place, the actualization of our goals becomes easier. Today’s scripture tells us that our faith in God makes all things possible. That is correct only if our desires are reasonable and are within the measure of our faith. Some have big goals, but little faith to actualize them. To step up your faith, start with small goals, and as soon as you achieve one small goal, you can then begin to upgrade to bigger goals as your faith increases. This is because a newborn baby does not start to run; he must learn to walk, first, by taking one step at a time, then walking fast, then faster and thereafter running.

Nevertheless, setting milestones for ourselves does not mean that our goals will materialize as planned. But as children of God, we should have the confidence that with the Lord, a setback is a ROAD OPENER leading to actualization. This means that mistakes or outright failures may occur as you exercise your faith, but God will pull you out and restore you again. Take note that every fall has a lesson to teach. Master the lesson and quickly move on or start afresh if the need arises.

That is because God is the God of New Beginnings! He is the ageless God of time, the one who is ever-present from time to time to make all things new again and again!

This also tells us that we should focus on God always in our goals and take guidance from the scriptures. Some of us focus too much on our human intellect and ambition. That will not take us to the end. In all that we set to do, we are expected to run with God by following Him behind, while allowing Him to show the way. But oftentimes, we become too hasty thereby running ahead of God. That is not good enough. The scripture says, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way.  Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds him with His hand”. (Psalm 37: 23 – 24).

We know that no one is completely good. But we can be reasonably good if we try to dwell in obedience to God’s word. God is happy when we follow the steps of Jesus Christ in obedience to His commands. All the promises of God in the scripture are for real. Therefore, when we obey His commands, we can claim His promises.

On a final note, beloved, when moving towards realizing your goals, listen less to the flesh, but pay more attention to your Spirit. Remember, the SPIRIT of God dwells in you, Open the doors of your heart to receive God.  God has already made a way for his children to solve their problems by way of His DIVINE SPIRIT.

 PRAYER

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, take hold of my heart and let your Divine Spirit make a way for me today. I decree each of my needs shall be established this day. AMEN.
