Contrary to what you may have been conditioned to believe, all human beings do have problems notwithstanding their religion or philosophy of life. Every mortal would go through one pain or problem at some point in life. The fact that you are a Christian would not stop problems and pains from coming your way. After all, tests and trials are the means we are completely nurtured and made stronger in faith, patience and endurance on our spiritual journey in life.

Remember that in order to realize the worth of a ship anchor, we need to feel the stress of the storm. Now, the good news is that we have Jesus Christ who is able to pilot us through and out of problems if we believe. If you submit to Jesus as Lord and Saviour, then He will keep His promises to every believer. This is because Jesus is beyond religion, race or any ideological subscription. He is the God of every believer! Just like His father in heaven, Jesus loves the whole world and died for the whole world, irrespective of who you are. Eternal life in Christ Jesus is for all believers and for those who constantly do His will and the will of His father in heaven.

Jesus is able to sustain us during our periods of trials and tests, no matter how hopeless the situation might seem. Today’s word says that the power of God that is at work within us is able to make us do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine. The power of God in us as you already know is “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:26-27). Christ in you is able to do all things; He is able to turn around any situation for good.

Perhaps, you still rely very much on your superficial strength and power to actualize your desires. You won’t get far with that. Instead, place your hope, and trust in God, and His power – that power which created the whole world, will flow through you to address your special condition. It is not by your strength, but by God’s Spirit in you. The word of God is telling us today that there is nothing God cannot do, and that God works through us to actualize all things for us. Therefore, in every tough and rough condition, God is there with us working to perfect all things. Tune in to God, and hold onto Him today, He will solve all your problems beyond your imagination. Therefore, never give up on any situation, for God is always in control.

PRAYER

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I ask that you keep me from falling. Be my helper and defender. Rescue me in times of distress; and assist me in times of need. Protect and prevent me from going astray. Father, you are unlimited in your power, therefore I declare you are my hope and sufficiency. AMEN
