LIVING THE NEW LIFE IN CHRIST

22nd MARCH 2023

“Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life”- (Romans 6:4)

What does Christ mean to you as a believer? The scriptures testify that Christ is a new life that transcends all things and is deeply rooted in God. The new life in Christ is a life full of grace, power, and authority. It is a life which shares a part with God and makes us truly immortal while we are still in the flesh.  His crucifixion and death have won for you the righteousness to be raised with Him to a new life of Godliness, power, and authority.

The Bible says: “Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life”- (Romans 6:4). How far do we believe in the power of Christ to change us from humans to God? Note that the scriptures say “…..as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life”- (Romans 6:4). To have a newness of life like Christ is to share the attributes of Christ and to become like God – a true son of the father, sharing attributes and qualities of the father!

The entire Christian journey is to acquire this newness of life and become the father’s true son. This transformation ought to make us perfect like God. How far have you gone in this journey? Or are you still doubting whether a new life in Christ is possible or not? The first step to receiving the new life is TO BELIEVE that a new life in Christ is possible, as written in the scriptures. The second step is to follow Jesus and obey His commands.

Today, the word of God says you must hold onto the finished work of Jesus by faith. Believe that when Christ was raised from the dead, His spirit was at the same time raised in you and has merged with your spirit. You are no longer the one who lives, but Christ now lives in you in righteousness. This brings us to the third step: you now have to make every conscious effort to live, act, and think like Jesus.

Starting today, become conscious that you are no longer YOU, but Christ is now living as you. When you truly change your ways to fit into Christ’s ways and life, you will gradually be transformed into a new life beyond common people’s understanding. The new life is full of power, authority, and Grace.  Today, I ask that you step out boldly in faith and claim your fullness in Christ Jesus.; Claim His life of righteousness; walk in Christ’s footsteps and remain victorious by His power of Grace.

PRAYER

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I declare I am righteous. I step into the footsteps of Jesus today, and I ask for power and grace to be like Him.  Father, I believe in your power to change me to become like you. Lord, by your Grace, I transcend the gates of hell, powers, and principalities, and I am a winner at all times and a victor in all situations. Amen.
