SERIALISED PRACTICAL GUIDE

TITLE: LIVING THE PROMISE:  40 DAYS ABUNDANCE SERIES

PURPOSE: A daily companion on your journey towards financial success in 2024, providing practical steps and spiritual insights to help you cultivate abundance and security.

DAY  13 (MONDAY 22ND JANUARY 2024)

TOPIC:  KEEPING THE VOW

AUTHOR: MARY LAWRENCE-DOKPESI

SCRIPTURE:

Ecclesiastes 5:4-5 (When you make a vow to God, do not delay to pay it. Better not to vow than to make a vow and not fulfil it. For God takes pleasure in those who fear him, who fulfil their vows.)

SPIRITUAL POSTULATION:

When you fulfil your obligations with integrity, you build a reputation for trustworthiness. Trust opens the roads to abundance.

REFLECTION

Fulfilling a vow or promise gives you honour and integrity, which in turn may open the roads to further blessings and abundance. However, please keep in mind your promises and agreements. Don’t be like Herod, who despite knowing the implications of fulfilling his promise to his daughter, chose the path of “honour” by having John the Baptist beheaded to please his wife and daughter. In that situation, rather than gaining honour, integrity and abundance, you will gain judgment instead. (James 5:1)

The key vows we must fulfil to bring abundance into our lives are those we make to God. By fulfilling these vows, we demonstrate our trust in Him and show our commitment to living a life that aligns with His will.

Similarly, when we fulfil a vow or commitment to another person, we create a sense of trust and reliability, which can lead to increased abundance in our relationships and personal interactions.

To have a continuous flow of abundance in our lives, we must honour our contracts and commitments, whether they are to God, ourselves, or others. This includes being honest, reliable, and fulfilling our promises, no matter how small they may seem.

PRAYERS

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, help me to honor my contracts and commitments, and guide me in fulfilling my vows to you and others. May I attract abundance and blessings into my life through my actions and words.  Amen.

TAKE ACTION

                i.                    Reflect on your commitments and ensure you meet your promises.

ii.                  Seek forgiveness for any unfulfilled vows and strive to make amends.

iii.               Practice gratitude for the abundance you already have and trust that more will come.
