“By faith, Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.” – Hebrews 11:8
The change that we desire in life is that positive change that reflects God’s inner beauty and the changes that bring forth the plan and purpose of God into our lives. As you already know, CHANGE is the only constant thing in the universe. That means, whether we like it or not, changes are bound to occur several times in our lifetime. But the problem is that oftentimes, we like to see the changes that we like, which might be at variance with the plans and purpose of God in our lives. That is why we must each pray for insight into God’s plan and purpose for us.
The life of Abraham remains an excellent example of how God works to lift His people to a higher dimension, but we must be ready to trust and believe in God.
But Change can sometimes be challenging to accept, especially when we are not ready for it or cannot trust God enough to lead us to a specific destination. At some other times, change can be pretty comforting such as, even though we may not be quite prepared for the change, we are lucky to see beautiful things happen to us.
Sometimes, God can call us to make individual changes in our lives. At other times, some unforeseeable circumstances can cause the world around us to change drastically so that we experienced some imbalance. But as children of God, we work by faith and not by sight. Therefore, no matter the pain or trauma accompanying change, we are confident that God is leading us to a good end, where only God will be pleased. Therefore, God is pleased with us when we embrace change by faith, believing that He would perfect everything that pertains to us in the end.
When God called Abraham out of his place of birth, it must have been a difficult one for him. But he had faith and believed in the plan of God for him. As a result, Abraham shifted from his original position and focused on nowhere in particular, until God showed him the destination. Nevertheless, Abraham trusted God completely. If Abraham did not move as commanded by God, he probably would not have earned the promises of God to this day.
Now it is your turn to move! As stated above, change is the only constant thing in life. That is because everything will eventually change according to the will of God. The change that God wants for us is global and eternal. He wants a change that will make us live life in a unique way here on earth, devoid of disease, ignorance and poverty, as well as everything ungodly; Or the more significant change that will make us become the heirs to His kingdom. That is the reason- God wants us to change and renew our minds, living a holy life in contrast to the ungodliness in this world. (Ref: Romans 12:2) In doing so, he promises us a change in our mortal body that; mortality putting on immortality and the physical becoming spiritual (Ref: Philippians 3:21; 1 John 3:2)
I do not know what you are experiencing right now. Some of us are uncertain about life at the moment. Whether your experience at the moment is in bad taste or not, rest assured that everything works together for good for those who believe in God. Therefore, be rest assured that God is leading you somewhere according to His plan and purpose. Keep praying, keep trusting in God, and keep hope alive!
PRAYERS
Father in the name of Jesus Christ, today, I embrace a positive change that makes me the best version of myself. Help me, Lord, to gain a deeper insight into your plan and purpose for my life. From this day onward, I shall make a positive impact on my generation and generations yet unborn. Help me, God. AMEN.
