You do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, ‘If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that.' - James 4:13-15
. In today’s devotional, we continue with the nine steps to actualizing your goals in life. So we continue with the Eighth step.
8. Enlist a team for support. The scripture says, "One person standing alone is easily attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three people are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken." (Ecclesiastes 4:12). Therefore, build a very strong team around yourself. The stronger your team is, the more you can fulfill your dream. Success is never a one-man job; it takes teamwork - God wired it this way because the most important lesson he wants you to learn here on earth is to love people.
9. You must pay the price. In human relationships, nothing seems to be free. Eliezer gave Rebekah gifts in order to win her heart (Ref. Genesis 24:53) If you are serious about getting a focused in life, you need to ask three questions.
i. What will it cost?
ii. What am I willing to give?
iii. Is it worth it?
If the price is not worth it, restructure your plans and move in a different direction. Ask God for His will regarding what you must put into your work plan in other to get to your goal. God is great! He never gives His children any temptation greater than them. Just trust in God and lean on Him. Also, remember the greatest use of your life is to invest in something that will outlast you. .Don‘t begin working toward your goals until you’ve counted the cost.
Perhaps, you may begin to wonder if you have set goals. The best way to commence setting goals for yourself, is to first, fast and pray for at least three days while asking God to reveal His will concerning your set goals. You will definitely receive some revelations concerning the issue. Begin to work with your revelation, while stopping intermittently at different stages in the course of work for thanks giving for what God had started in your life.
So beloved, it’s time to start; what is God’s will for you? Ensure that you move in the right direction.
