“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed” – Proverbs 16:13
As you commence the year, it will be necessary to list the things you would want to actualize. Also, create your milestones to enable you to measure the rate of your success. However, setting a milestone and actualizing them comes easy when we follow a set of principles.
The Bible tells us that we can achieve our desires or goals if we commit them to God. That is because God has the word that manifests everything. But action is needed to make God’s word work for us.
Therefore, prayers and work must go together so that faith can blossom. Without work and prayer acting together, faith dies!
The mistake we often make is that our goals are usually not set out or mapped in our hearts and written down in clear terms to enable us to meditate and pray on them daily. Through meditation and prayers, we call up the spirit of God to help build our goals into manifestation.
To set your milestones and actualize them, note the following:
1. Tell God what you desire, and get ready to meditate and pray on it daily.
2. Write your goals down on paper, as well as in your heart. Writing them down in your heart ensures that you can think about them daily and all the time.
3. Set achievable goals. God is capable of doing much more for us than we expect. But we need to go by the level of our faith. You can start by trusting God in little things and increase to bigger goals as you make progress. That is to ensure that you are not discouraged along the line.
4. When do you expect to reach your milestone? Is it an hour away? A whole year? Set a time horizon for yourself.
5. Flexibility is the key to success. Put in your best, but do not punish yourself or go into crime commission. Learn from your mistake, and try to amend the time frame if the need arises. Remember that delay is not defeat; as far as you remain committed and focused on God, your goals will come through at the right time.
PRAYER
Father, to you, I commit all my goals. Make my hands strong, and keep my faith intact. It is not by my power but by thy spirit. Take all the glory in Jesus’s name. AMEN
