BE EMPOWERED!

18th JUNE 2023

“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint’ – Isaiah 40:29-31

Sometimes in life, as we move along its byways, the ground we stand upon becomes slippery, and if not careful, may cause us to fall. Also, at other times, we let our negative experiences change the way we think or assess our spiritual strength or power in such a manner that we begin to think that we are weak. Sometimes also, we are tossed around and made to suffer by the people we love, thereby making us develop apathy towards them in such a manner that we want to fight and finish them at all course.

Such an attitude of wanting to fight and finish with those who have offended us does us no good at all. When we suffer under the spirit of vengeance, we tend to forget who we are and the God we serve. Knowing that we are God’s people and that Christ rules over our hearts gives us the grace to bear the weaknesses of others. But that does not mean that we should allow evil to triumph in our lives, It only means that we should allow mercy to take the place of judgment when there is true repentance and genuine willingness to change on the part of those who offend us.

Today, we are looking at how to react to negative situations in our lives; when we are completely shattered and traumatized by inhumanity. We have had many negative experiences that we cannot recount; People close to us, and even strangers have caused us to suffer in so many ways and at different times. The effect of that is making us react to life negatively, and not making us live our true identity in God and Christ.

No matter what we face in life, the grace of God is sufficient for us. The medicine that heals trauma, rejection, and dejection is the Grace of God that knows no bounds. The scripture reminds us today that the God we serve is bigger than anything we face in life.  All believers in God’s word and principles receive the power to excel and accomplish as they wish, and this is because God gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

Therefore, when God empowers us, we receive His Grace to overcome trauma and pain; We also receive the power and authority to accomplish success in a chosen dimension. Ask God today for the healing and power to achieve the tremendous positive intentions of your heart.

Consequently, although we are not completely insulated from evil and trauma, the Holy Spirit is there for us at all times, aiding us to overcome and heal our pain and trauma by the Grace of God. In our Christian journey, we receive empowerment from the Holy Spirit to do great things and to heal us. The Holy Spirit is the able God, the great enabler who moves into every circumstance and situation of our life, pouring out Himself to empower us. When the Holy Spirit thus empowers us, He touches all aspects of our material and spiritual lives granting us much-needed victory.

Very soon, you will understand what I mean in today’s devotional as soon as you receive empowerment from the Holy Spirit, giving you His grace to overcome the issues of life. Therefore, open up your spirit to receive the power of God that bringeth forth His Grace. The Grace of God is Divine empowerment that comes when you are able to convert intention into positive action due to constant fueling by the divine Spirit. When you face difficulties, remember to call forth the power of the divine Spirit of God to take control and guide you to safety and victory.

PRAYER

In the name of Jesus Christ, Father, I ask that you empower me so that my good intentions can become actions and concrete evidence of your manifesting Spirit. AMEN
