CAST YOUR YOKE UPON THE LORD

“Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls”- Matthew 11:29 

One great misunderstanding that we have is to think that we won’t have any problems in life as long as we pray, fast, go the church, pay our tithes and sow good seeds in the Lord’s vineyard. That is not entirely correct. Those who do all of that still have problems. To enjoy a good life is not dependent on whether you are a Christian or not. The one thing you must bear in mind is that there are principles of life you must embrace to make life easier to live. For instance, you have to work to earn a living. You must first forgive others before you can receive forgiveness from God. Whatever seeds you sow is what you will reap in return.  There are other examples of how these principles work.

Why then do we pray or fast?  Why do we give tithes or give offerings?  Why do we go to church or do the rest of the things that we do as Christians? These things are done to make us achieve a divine alignment with God, Divine alignment brings to us a surge of spiritual energy and power that will enable us to push our problems to the Lord himself. That gives you an edge over someone who does not pray, fast or do any of those things.

 

Therefore, the problems of life will affect everybody on earth, notwithstanding your religion and beliefs. But those in divine alignment have quicker solutions to problems before they arrive, and solve the problems when they occur.

Therefore, I tell you today, notwithstanding how tough a situation might seem; how worst and complicated issues have become, God can fix them all if only you will learn to push the problem to the Lord. Pushing the problem to God means YOU HAVE TO LET GO of your problems. Pushing your problems to God and having faith that all will be well again is not an easy process. But you just have to believe that God is in control.

Some people do not understand why Believers must suffer despite having Jesus Christ. To answer straight, Jesus did not promise a stress-free life for believers. Instead, He wants us to mature in faith as we overcome one obstacle to the other. After all, to realize the worth of a ship anchor, we need to feel the power of the storm! Every Believer would one day face some challenges or persecution, but Jesus tells us NOT to be anxious or afraid, for he has already conquered the world. 

That means no matter how complicated our problems have become; we will come out fine someday. This is because after every sunset comes the golden dawn! So, God can sustain us during our periods of trials and tests, no matter how hopeless the situation might seem.  Are you able to stand firm with God no matter the pain, trauma, or challenges confronting you? Tell yourself, you can make it. Jesus can turn around any situation for good. How does He do that? The master tells us today to cast our burden upon Him, and He will give us rest. This means we should let go of our fears and challenges as if they never existed in the first place. JUST LET IT BE!        

Perhaps, you still rely very much on your superficial strength and power to overcome trauma, pain, sorrow or challenges. You won’t get far with that. Instead, when the situation becomes unbearable or you think that the situation is irreversible, be assured that God is in control. Place your hope and trust in God and His power – the power that created all things will flow through you to address your particular condition. It is not by your strength but by God’s Spirit, will you solve the complex issues of life. 

Today, the scripture is telling us that there is no yoke and pain God cannot bear for us! God is there with us in every tough and rough condition, working to perfect everything! Tune in to God, and hold onto Him today. He will assume your burden and give you the strength to carry on life with ease. Therefore, never give up on any situation, for God is always in control. Let off your problems, and let God take control. Believe that God is already perfecting all things and that you will come out fine! AMEN.

 PRAYER

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I ask that you keep me from falling. Be my helper and defender. Rescue me in times of distress and assist me in times of need. Protect and prevent me from going astray. Father, you are unlimited in your power; therefore, I declare you are  my hope and sufficiency forever AMEN
