DEALING WITH ANXIETY

26th MAY 2022

“Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you” – 1 Peter 5:7

To be worried or anxious is a part of life. We cannot stop getting worried no matter how much we try. But the good news is that we can look beyond our worries and lean on God to pull us out of our fears. Jesus Christ recognizes that we shall come across the things that give concern. Nevertheless, He says we shouldn’t be worried.

The bible tells us that we should keep worries aside and focus on God when times are uncertain. The best way to focus on God is through meditation and prayers. Positive declarations are also good ways to remove our minds from worries. Repeat God’s word or promises of success to yourself several times in the day and cause them to be implanted firmly in your inner man. At that point, it becomes easier to manifest the promise in your life. For instance, you may repeat the following to yourself:

“Our God is a God who is always in control and who never lies or deceives us (Titus 1:1-3).

When life feels uncertain, it’s easy to doubt if God is with us. But if we stick to our Faith in Christ, the journey becomes simpler. The Lord has shown that He doesn’t abandon His children; you can be sure He won’t start now. How best possible can we cope with uncertainty? The best way to deal with uncertainty is to move forward by faith and believe God has already answered your prayers. You can also do the following:

 1. Reflect on the Scripture.

2. Pray with Others. Praying together in Faith is a powerful force.

3. Ask Others for Specific Prayer. Sometimes, asking for help can be hard to do, but you just have to ask.

4. Join Us in Prayers. You can get in touch with me, personally or the Ministry prayer group with your specific request for prayers. You can be sure to find help.

5. Remain focused on your project, and continue to build on each progress made.

When you stay focused and walk by Faith simultaneously, you will be blessed. If you walk steadily by Faith, not by sight, you will earn some blessings from God.

We can claim or hold to numerous promises God has given us during seasons of doubt and fear. We are reminded today that God knows our weaknesses and will surely meet us at the point of our needs. Having Faith in difficult times can allow you to find peace in God’s presence. When unfaithful, it can harden your heart with pride and cause you to grow distant from God. Learning to give up all your struggles and problems to God can lift a heavy burden off yourself.

 PRAYER

In the name of Jesus Christ, Father uphold me in this challenging period of my life. I lean on you; please help me build Faith in you and cause me never to lose focus in my pursuit. AMEN
