DO YOUR PART! (PART 1 OF 2)

6th FEBRUARY 2023

“So, he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty” – Zechariah 4:6

Some people do not believe in themselves as capable of any significant achievement. They also do not believe that God has any role to play in human endeavours. There have been many arguments on the role of God in human endeavour. That is because the nature of God is still lost to many people. Today’s word tells us that God manifests all things by His Spirit, not by our strength or might.  But that does not mean that you shouldn’t work.

This devotional is not to dissect the nature of God but to remind us that God does whatever He says, and His promises do not fail. In this devotional, however, I would like you to have the picture of God as that of Spirit that dwells in you and in all things; God is everywhere, giving life, light and love to you, and constantly keeping your vital organs working harmoniously with His eternal spirit. He is in all things, hence everything is constantly renewed and refreshed. Therefore, without God, you won’t be alive, let alone do anything to create a good life. Getting God to work for us or to agree with us on the positive things we plan to achieve has much to do with our determination and readiness to put our faith in God into action.

God’s word is spirit and life. When the word of God for prosperity comes to us through prophecy or revelation, that does not mean we should fold our hands and not work. God moves through the work of our hands to bless us.

Ask yourself today; ‘Have I done everything possible to manifest the word of God in my life? Do I have what it takes to manifest the promises of God in my life?

When you receive God’s word, all that is required of you to succeed is to step into divine authority and power and pursue every endeavour with determination to succeed. It is only when you are ready to move forward with great plans and ideas that God will swing into action to work with you to achieve your plans. It is true that when God made promises to us, He moves ahead of us to actualize our desires But He moves only when we make efforts to move first.

A baby who desires to walk must be bold and courageous to make the first move. The baby takes the first step, and then the second step. After a few steps, he masters the art of walking and you see the child running around the house.  Mastery and success come with efforts on our part. Everything a child needs to make him walk or grow into adulthood is already programmed into him from birth! He only needs to take the first step, and then, boom, he begins to run around the home!

The same thing applies to you. When you decide to move forward with your great plans in life, you must first make every effort to succeed, thereafter, God’s Spirit will move with you to manifest your plans. The power of God actually fuels your determination to succeed.

Beloved in Christ, I want you to test your faith in God by leaning on God and moving forward with your endeavours. First, you must do what is proper to move your business forward, and the Lord God will do the rest. AMEN

 PRAYER

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, today, I stand on the authority of your word in Isaiah 41:10 and I declare that all my fears and doubts are gone, and I am greatly empowered and strengthened by your spirit. Father, I decree victory, success, and a breakthrough in my life today. AMEN.
