“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.” – Luke 16:10
Everywhere about us in life, as we move along, its byways, exist, distractions and danger. Some of these distractions are programmed to frustrate us, so we don’t achieve our dreams. We fall prey to these distractions because we are usually not sensitive and vigilant. To be sober and alert is a cardinal principle of life that we often neglect, apparently due to our inability to assess the spiral effects of some of the things we fail to do.
One mistake we often make is that we tend to neglect little things, treating them as immaterial, thereby forgetting that tiny drops of water coming together make an ocean. When these drops of water are separated, the sea fizzles out.
The word of God is telling us today to pay attention to details. And that if we take care of the little things we meet daily, our being alert will take care of and sort out the more essential things without effort on our part. God himself pays attention to details; He counts all the stars in heaven and calls each by name. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. God turns a little into a lot! The miracle of the feeding of the 5,000 recorded in Mark 6:32-44 beautifully illustrates how God uses things that the world would scorn. He takes a little, adds himself to it, and makes it much. We may not be much ourselves, but with God, we can do anything he asks of us. Lastly, God warns us not to despise the day of small things, because the power of God can still render the feeblest instruments productive of the greatest results (Zechariah 4:9-10)
PRAYERS
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I commit myself unto thy hands today for guidance and discipline. Grant me an opportunity to explore and assimilate every finer and minor detail of life. Lord, by thy spirit, I overcome the tragedies and catastrophes of today and in the days ahead. Father, I declare thy total authority and dominion over my entire activities, and I attract success and victory from this day onwards. Amen.
