“ It is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his garden, and it grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air made nests in its branches.” - Luke 13:19
Anything that happens in life, however small, has a meaning. I have heard that a space shuttle is composed of approximately 2,500,000 parts and that if one part fails, like the rubber O-ring seal did on the shuttle Challenger in 1986, it's all over! Same applies to ordinary events of life. I don’t take kindly to lapses and unintelligible behavior however insignificant or unnoticed they might be. My principle on that is that such errors should be corrected timely. To give little warmth in pains and sickness just by giving a stipend or simply saying, “Jesus Loves You” has been found to give healing and encouragement to the weak. Paying attention to the little positive things in life keeps us from getting overwhelmed by the big stuff.
It’s the little things in your life that will reveal your likes and dislikes, your strengths and weaknesses and your needs and desires; little things in life strengthen relationships, and keeps us closely bonded, for instance, sending your wife “I love you flower” can trigger off old affection; an employer who appreciates his worker, by saying, “thanks”, will encourage him to be loyal. If you live your life just looking forward to the big moments, you’ll lose a lot of those little things along the way. Your marriage is a result of a lot of little moments of laughter and love, and your job is the result of a lot of little moments of working hard and making sacrifices. Life is a journey, not a destination. So pay attention to the little things in life that will determine your happiness. The word of God is telling us today to take care of the little things we meet daily, and the bigger things will be sorted out without efforts on our part. God himself pays attention to details; He counts all the stars in heaven and calls each by name. And even the very hairs on your head are all numbered.
