Today’s Scriptures: "Trust wholeheartedly in the Lord, put no faith in your own perception; acknowledge him in every course you take, and he will see that your paths are smooth." Proverbs 3:5-6

Any moment from now, precisely on every 1ST January of any year, almost everyone in the world celebrates the advent of a New Calendar Year with so much fun fare and merriment. Usually, we welcome the New Year with so much hope and faith in what it brings for us; we also kiss the preceding year goodbye. As we all wait for the break of 2018, it is my pleasure to congratulate you for the New Year; HAPPY NEW YEAR BELOVED! .Throughout the annals of history, people are used to making Resolutions for the New Year with hope that providence would guide them into achieving those resolutions. I therefore wish you a fruitful and fulfilling 2018.

Today, God is saying to you to commit EVERYTHING into His hands and He would grant you victory. At no point should you panic, anxious or get discouraged, for Christ has already overcome the world. Simply surrender all your ways to God and He will take absolute pre-eminence over your situations. Hold on to Christ by clinging to his robes at difficult moments; He will answer and cause his grace to fill every gap or void in your life. Never shift your attention away, any one minute from the promises of God; “His grace is sufficient for you. When you are weak, then you are strong”. Happy New Year Beloved!

Prayer

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I welcome 2018 with faith and thanksgiving, and I submit to your guardianship and rulership in every area of my life. Lord, by the power of the Holy Spirit, I can see through the enemies’ eyes; therefore, I move several steps ahead of them. Lord, you say to me in Isaiah 45:3: “ I will give you the treasures of darkness and the riches in secret places, that you may know that it is I, the LORD, the God of Israel, who call you by your name”. Therefore, I decree and declare spectacular abundance, unmerited favors, unquantifiable fortune and undiminished Grace upon my life in 2018. Lord, by thy power, I shall behold 2019 in fruitfulness and in good health. AMEN

Mary Lawrence-Dokpesi

Mary Lawrence-Dokpesi was born in Nigeria to Patrick Abuda Obeakemhe and Juliana Fatimatu Obeakemhe, both from Ogbona Town. With a master’s degree in law, she was called to the bar at the age of twenty-two, and she is currently the principle partner of the law firm Mary Lawrence-Dokpesi & Associates. She is also the founder of two philanthropic organizations: the Living Waters Mission and the Rose Croix Foundation. In addition to law, Lawrence-Dokpesi was drawn to spiritual pursuits at an early age, having begun studying philosophy, theology, chaplaincy, and spirit therapy by the age of eighteen. Inspired by her spiritual calling, she has produced ten intensively researched manuscripts on spiritual matters. Although Understanding the Spiritual was the last to be written, it is the first to be published. Lawrence-Dokpesi is a mother and a wife living in the city of Abuja, Nigeria.
