FACING YOUR HIDDEN FEAR

12th JULY 2022

“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

There is hardly anyone who would not fear at some point in life. Many are afraid of becoming poor, falling sick or dying from existing ailments, suffering physical or spiritual attacks. If you come from Nigeria where I live, you will notice that the prevalent fear here is fear of being kidnapped and having to face torture in the hands of terrorists, or certain situations, terror attacks by unknown gunmen. There are so many good reasons why we should be afraid nevertheless. That is basically so because we believe wrongly, though, that the power or forces at play generally are mightier than we possess. But that is not correct. (1 John 4:4). Therefore, we think that if we are not careful, we could be smashed by these negative powers or evil of our time!

There are many deep-rooted fears locked up and hidden in the dusty regions of our subconscious, haunting us day by day. However, when fearfulness causes harm to your physical and mental stability, and you find yourself avoiding things that might create more fear, please don’t ignore it. When anxiety becomes a debilitating thing that leaves you quivering and sick, don’t try to push it away. Fear not controlled tends to manifest evil someday! Arise and overcome your fear.

God says, don’t fear! Mind you, what you fear, such as ill-health, terror attacks, poverty, etc., will not die. They are forces of evil in the hands of the devil. For as long as the devil lives, evil will continue to exist. Therefore, no prayers will remove evil until the last day (Revelation 20:10). Do not get carried away by stories like David killed Goliath, to mean that you can destroy evil.

Evil is Spirit undercurrent that manipulates willing vessels such as human elements. Even if you destroy an evil person, the undercurrent evil force will move on to another ready person to operate and use. The devil is the commander of evil forces, and he will not die until the last day. Therefore, your focus is not to destroy evil but to rise above evil by purifying our individual and collective consciousness. A society or individual will rise above evil when everyone decides to do good, or avoid evil. Therefore, repent and shun evil individually, then we can have a healthy society.

When we pray, God gives us the ability to overcome evil by rising above them. Prayer raises our spiritual cover or frequency above the domain of evil, in such a way that they become powerless in our presence. Consistent prayers will give us the power to overcome. (Psalm 110:1). You are supposed to reign amid your enemies! (Psalm 23)

Are there things that give you fear? Release them to the Cross, and be filled by the Spirit! Feel lighter and tell yourself, I am a victor! God’s love is never failing; Avoid evil deeds, face your fears and move forward with courage. AMEN

PRAYER

Father, protect me among my enemies. Please grant me the strength to overcome. AMEN.
