“And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God” - Ephesians 3:17-19
Some people have all they want, and yet they feel empty and deeply unhappy. Also, some are deprived and poor; they also feel much empty and unhappy. There is something miraculous about the grace of God, which brings forth a state of fullness, contentment and peace. I used to feel EXTREMELY INDESCRIBABLY EMPTY. I tried to explore a mundane approach to fill myself up, but that did not work for me, until the day God said to me; “I am the spirit that fills the void of your heart; Life becomes meaningful only when you abide in me and you allow me to fill you with my Grace”. Today, I am different, because I have experienced the power of God inside of me. So many are empty inside due to some deep, BUT false beliefs regarding what brings inner joy and happiness. When these things are absent, they are unhappy. For example, I hear some people say things like these; My partner is not giving me enough love and attention; I don’t have a partner; My work is unsatisfying; I don’t have enough money; I don’t get enough sex etc. None of these situations is a real cause of inner emptiness.
These are programmed beliefs that have no basis in truth, but they may be running your life. Inner emptiness comes from a lack of connection with your spiritual source of love — GOD. Therefore, relying on people to fill the void just won’t work. Forget it. The word of God is telling you today to open your heart and be filled by His spirit. His spirit provides Contentment, Joy, Love and peace of God. To overcome your emptiness;
- Simply focus on God and pray fervently that He fills you up with His Spirit.
- Make a sacrifice of your illusions – shift attention away from those material things and relationships you think are indispensable in your life, which, truly are not.
- Read and meditate on the Scriptures daily – not reading it with speed as if in a reading competition, but meditate and feed on each word of God.
- Avoid stimulant, behaviors, and processes, used addictively to try filling your emptiness.
