 TODAY’S SCRIPTURES

“The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.”- Psalm 29:11

FINDING STRENGTH AMID STORMS

Life throws its storms our way, leaving us drained and seeking shelter. Psalm 29:11 reminds us, “The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.” It’s not a promise of a perpetually sunny sky, but a powerful truth: even amid challenges, God offers strength and peace.

Imagine yourself caught in a downpour. The wind whips, the rain stings, and you feel utterly exposed. But then, you spot a sturdy, weathered oak standing tall against the storm. Its roots grip the earth, its branches sway but don’t break. That’s the strength God infuses within us. He doesn’t shield us from every hardship but equips us to weather the storm.

His peace isn’t the absence of trouble, but a deep inner calm that transcends circumstance. It’s the quiet knowing of His presence, a steady hand guiding you through the chaos. So, when exhaustion threatens to overwhelm you, turn to Him. Find solace in prayer, in scripture, in the beauty of creation. In the quiet moments of surrender, He will renew your strength and grant you the peace to navigate life’s storms.

PRAYER

Lord, I am exhausted and heavy-laden. Help me to prioritize rest in you. Show me how to recharge and restore my energy. Renew my spirit and lightness of heart. Amen.
