For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope - Jeremiah 29:11
Life is not a contest, but a mission to be fulfilled! You have your unique mission in life, and you were created to fulfill just that mission. Therefore, you are not in competition with anyone. The race to become like others and to do what they are doing may not bring out your best potential. Your prayer to realize the plan and will of God for you is not a one-off prayer. It has to be said throughout a life time. This is because as children of God, we must always rely on God to lead us through the chasms of life. You may begin to wonder how you may know if you have attained the will and purpose of God for you. If you don’t believe in God to guide you through life, then you are certainly living ‘a self-planned life’, and you may not know if you are already fulfilling your life mission or not. One sure way of knowing if we are on the track is to know that God is a part of our planning process and we have begun to do something different, something that has overall impact on humanity – and you must be truly happy to see your efforts transforming the lives of others and helping them to overcome their weaknesses. We enter God’s plan when we truly believe in Him to lead us safely. When we allow God to take the lead, mistakes are avoided. God definitely reveals His will concerning us, only if we ask for His revelation. If we submit to His guidance, He will reveal His will to us; with that, you are sure to get to where He wants you to be, NOT WHERE YOU THINK YOU SHOULD BE!
The word of God says to you today that God has a pan of prosperity, hope and a future for you. Key yourself into this divine plan of God by doing these three things:
1. Commune daily with God in prayers.
2. Study the scriptures and see what good life the people of God lived.
3. Act in obedience to the word of God.
4. Have complete and implicit trust in God to lead you safely.
Finally, take note that the plan and purpose of God is eternal The first phase is realized here on earth, while the second phase is pushed forward to your afterlife (Ref: 2 Timothy 4:7-8) As a believer, you must continuously live and work by faith. Therefore, work diligently and be patient for God to take the lead – the journey is faster and less cumbersome when God is involved with us. When problems arise in the course of your journey through life, please always realize that God’s plan includes His permission of life’s trials and tests (Ref:1 Peter 4:12-13 and 19). These tests and trials will soon give way to a period of golden dawn, and everything you may have lost in the process will be returned to you double. Good morning!
