HOW TO REWRITE YOUR DESTINY (PART 2 OF 2)
September 23, 2023

20th  SEPTEMBER 2023

“I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.” – Jeremiah 17:10

Often, when the Bible speaks of destiny, it’s in reference to a destiny people have brought upon themselves – whether good or bad destiny. For instance; “Many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their destiny is destruction” (Philippians 3:18-19). The scripture cites so many instances in which we are held accountable for our choices. For instance,  “he who sows wickedness reaps trouble” (Proverbs 22:8); “All hard work brings a profit,  but mere talk leads only to poverty” (Proverbs 14:23); “Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you” (Romans 13:3). One very interesting verse in the scripture says; “A man’s own folly ruins his life… yet his heart rages against the LORD” (Proverbs 19:3) This means that when some people foolishly wreck their lives or inadvertently do not gainfully apply themselves, they may yet insist on blaming God, or perhaps “Fate.” In this way, they persist in their folly. Even on the very serious issue regarding faith, it is still a matter of choice whether we accept the gift of faith or not; “Be not faithless, but believing” (John 20:27; see also Acts 16:31; 19:4).

Are you one of those who still cannot understand that you are truly the author of your own destiny? Although the scripture says,  “for I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11), these plans and purpose of God only come to pass in our lives if we key into His blueprint and follow  His ways in truth.

Are you currently off the track; it is not too late to fall into the track. The measure we put into life will determine what we get back from life.

Some people complain that they have little or nothing to show for the number of years they have lived on earth, but today’s word says God will reward each according to their conduct and deeds. Our conduct and deeds form the basis of the reward we get in life. Perhaps, I should ask us today,’ What deeds and conducts have you exerted on life to warrant a fulfilled life in return? Or better still, what does God want from us? God wants us to do His word and serve His glory here on earth. As we do that, we begin to experience changes in our lives as well.

To change your story, you must rewrite your destiny to become what God wants you to be.  Many people are currently living a life of restricted value, either for themselves or for others. To be of no value or relevance in life is not the will of God for us. But that entire situation came about because of our wrong choices; wrong choices are capable of robbing us of the promises of God.

PRAYER

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, today I embrace good conduct and align with your plan and purpose for me.  Father, I declare that I am not a victim of any circumstance orchestrated by the lies of the devil; rather, I declare I am a victor by the power of the Holy Spirit. I am purified from every negative manipulation whatsoever. To God be the glory. AMEN.
