Today’s Scriptures: “Has a nation changed its gods, which are not gods? But My people have changed their Glory for what does not profit” - Jeremiah 2:11
There are so many situations in life that keeps us permanently stagnant on one spot in both material and spiritual wealth. These situations develop as a result of wanting to stick to a wrong job; a way of life or a set of beliefs. When we stick to a wrong status, we suffer a lot of troubles, leading to loss of jobs, lack of recognition, or even a rejection. There is one thing that is very true in life, and that is the fact that, no condition is permanent, and the only constant thing in life, is change. This is basically so because life is on the move; like the philosophers would say, life and nature are constantly becoming or undergoing a state of evolution. Therefore, everyone has an opportunity to experience growth after a decline or to move out of trouble areas completely. Very often, the shift that we are expected to make rest in our minds or psyche as well as our readiness to leap in faith across the bridge, to the other side of life. Again, so many are clouded by very wrong attitude to life and can neither keep a job, nor sustain one.
Some do not understand what is called mutual respect or courtesy. The word of God is telling us today to change our wrong values and negative mindset in order to behold a new horizon. This is because, every negative action on our part has a corresponding negative experience, which is bound to catch up with us some day. So, our attitude or wrong choices are majorly responsible for the troubles we experience in life. To go above these troubles is to focus and believe in a new life flourishing with supernatural abundance. To move on, we have to drop our old selves, and wear a new cloak of patience, and lean on the staff of Faith.
Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I trust in your power to lead me out of every chasm of confusion, hopelessness, faithlessness and wrong values presently inhibiting the fulfillment of your purpose and plan for me. Therefore, I declare your power now works in my life, in accordance with thy will. Lord, Like Joshua, I shall henceforth succeed in the most important activities of my life. AMEN.
