TITLE: 50 DAYS OF PRAYERS AND EXERCISES FOR THE NEW YEAR.

THEME: Preparing Mentally and Spiritually for a Blessed Year-End and A Fruitful New Year

PURPOSE: As we approach the end of the year, it is essential for us as Christians to reflect on our spiritual journey and prepare ourselves mentally and spiritually for the coming year. By aligning our hearts with God’s will, we can experience a year-end filled with gratitude and a new year filled with hope and blessings. In this sermon, we will explore biblical scriptures and daily exercises that will help us in this preparation process.

DAY 1 – 2 (SUNDAY 12TH AND MONDAY  13TH NOVEMBER 2023)

TITLE – REFLECT ON GOD’S FAITHFULNESS

SCRIPTURE:

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”-  Proverbs 16:3

As Christians, we often have many plans and goals that we want to accomplish in life. We have dreams that we want to pursue, and we want to achieve success in our careers, relationships, and other areas of our lives. However, in the midst of all this, it’s important to remember that we must first commit our plans to the Lord.

Proverbs 16:3 reminds us that if we commit our plans to the Lord, He will establish them. This means that we must first seek God’s will and guidance before we make our plans. We must pray and ask God to guide us and give us wisdom as we pursue our goals.

When we commit our plans to the Lord, we can trust that He will guide us and lead us in the right direction. He will open doors and provide opportunities that we never thought possible. And even when things don’t go according to our plans, we can trust that God is in control and that He has a greater purpose for our lives.

So, let us commit our plans to the Lord today and in the new year and trust that He will establish them. Let us seek His guidance and wisdom in all that we do, knowing that He has a perfect plan for our lives.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

Take time to reflect on the past years and make a list of all the ways God has been faithful to you. Write down specific instances where you experienced His provision, guidance, or answered prayers. Spend time in prayer thanking God for His faithfulness, and pray that His faithfulness continues in the new year.

PRAYER

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank you for being faithful to me in the past years. Thank you for providing for me, guiding me, and answering my prayers. Please continue to be faithful to me in the new year, and help me to always remember your faithfulness and trust in your plans. Amen.

FURTHER SCRIPTURES: Proverbs 19:21; Psalm 37:5
