 SEEK GUIDANCE FROM THE LORD

As we approach the end of the year, it’s natural to reflect on the past and look forward to the future. The verse from Psalm 119:105 reminds us that God’s Word is a guiding light in our lives. Just as a lamp illuminates our path in the darkness, God’s Word illuminates our journey through life. As we seek to finish this year successfully and prepare for the next, let us turn to the Scriptures for guidance and inspiration.

The year may have brought its share of challenges, triumphs, and uncertainties. In times of darkness or confusion, it’s easy to feel lost or unsure of which direction to take. However, the psalmist assures us that God’s Word is like a lamp for our feet, providing immediate light for each step we take. It is also a light on our path, giving us clarity and direction for the journey ahead.

Also, in Isaiah 42:16, God says, “I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.”

Therefore, as we reflect on this verse, let us remember that God’s Word offers wisdom, comfort, and direction. It is a source of truth and guidance that can lead us through both the successes and struggles of life. By seeking God’s guidance through His Word, we can finish this year with a sense of purpose and begin the next with confidence.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

Set aside time each day to read and meditate on God’s Word. Choose a specific passage or verse that speaks to you and write it down. Reflect on its meaning and how it can guide your decisions and actions in the coming year.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, as we approach the end of this year and look forward to the next, we seek Your guidance and wisdom. Help us to find clarity and direction in Your Word as we navigate through life’s challenges and opportunities. May Your Word be a constant source of light and truth in our lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

FURTHER SCRIPTURES: Proverbs 3:5-6; John 8:12
