“A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children.” – Proverbs 13:22
Now that you understand what spirituality entails and how it serves the purpose of wealth preservation throughout generations, how then do you cultivate and live by the principles?
When we practice frequently, the HSP becomes a part of us. Spiritual discipline brings us into divine alignment with God. The creative power of God does not just settle upon us overnight. It follows a set of principles before entering into us, and becoming part of our lives. Therefore, if we are in alignment with God, we will receive a constant influx of His divine power. When we are in divine alignment, God constantly meets us at the points of our needs. It is therefore important that we maintain spiritual discipline.
Perhaps you have been struggling to maintain spirituality, and yet without success; The following tips will help us to overcome bad habits as we make efforts to attain spiritual discipline:
1. Identify the bad habit, and make consistent efforts to gradually break it.
2. Identify your triggers; those things that cause you to default or to commit errors. Sometimes the trigger for our bad habits can be emotional; Is it boredom, tiredness, or stress, or even over-excitement? These are things to consider when evaluating what causes your bad habit.
3. Replace the bad habit. Now, research shows that simply stopping or ending a bad habit doesn’t work. Instead, it may be more fruitful to substitute your bad habit with a good, or at least better, habit.4. Find support. It may help to find people who are passing through the same experience of trying to live a balanced life.
5. Visualize success. Close your eyes and see yourself throwing away those clogs in your spiritual wheel of progress. visualize yourself crushing it and enjoying your success.
6. Be patient but persistent. Change takes time, and you may mess up from time to time. No one is perfect, but remember that consistency is the key to success.
PRAYERS
Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I ask for your blessings for my generations. Grant me the blessings of the heavens, blessings of the deep, and blessings of my progenitors. As you give, grant that all your gift will be preserved by your spirit. Pour therefore your spirit upon this gift of life, and let it become a positive legacy for my generations. Thank you, father, in Jesus name, AMEN.
