STOP DOUBTING GOD AND HIS PROMISES

21st AUGUST 2022

“But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind” – James 1:6

Some people don’t believe in God and think they cannot benefit from God’s promises in the scripture. Like those people, we sometimes feel that way but prefer to hide our feelings.

Preaching about God to an Atheist is not pleasant because he has multiple reasons not to believe in the existence of God.  Although Atheists do not believe in the Christian concept of God, they however have their own concept of God. Again, like the Atheist, some other persons have their concept of God, and it is what they believe about their God that works for them.

As a Christian, if you raise your consciousness to that level where your heart begins to accept God and His promises, God’s promises will surely manifest in your life. Otherwise, your life would be according to the level of your doubts. Therefore, what you believe concerning God is what manifests in your life.

As Christians, we must strive to have the correct belief in God so that the scripture will genuinely become the word of God for us. However, I must be quick to add that the issues of doubts and faith are pretty complex. But the fact remains that when we doubt God and His revelations, we stop God from working for us. The Bible says, “And by faith, even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise” (Hebrews 11:11)

Therefore, your understanding of God and what you believe He can do for you works for you according to your belief. (Ref: Luke 1:37).

Quite frankly, the word of God is God and is already established. The Spirit of God is everywhere and in all things; therefore, the evidence of God is visible everywhere!

To overcome doubts, first, you must believe in the existence of God, and then, also believe in Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Also, believe that God inspires the Bible and that God’s promises in the Bible are your inheritance as an obedient child of God.

Second, continually seek God through studying the scriptures and prayers. Listen to the word of faith day by day.

Third, try to be obedient to the commandments of God, and try to attend fellowship with believers.

Fourth, believe in Jesus Christ as the word of God made manifest in man, and through Jesus Christ, your journey to eternal life is made perfect by your belief, and faith in the Lord.

Believe that the Spirit of Christ now dwells in you causing all things to manifest for you by faith. Therefore, if you believe, your desires will manifest through the Christ Spirit!

If we continue to practice the above diligently, your doubting mind will gradually become stable. Today, if you are going through a trial or temptation causing you to doubt God, cry out to God. He is faithful, and he will never leave or forsake you. Amen.

PRAYER

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I declare that the Holy Spirit empowers me, and I confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.  Lord, I decree no confusion or fear shall eat up this revelation from my heart. Father, today I reject and renounce any false teaching and deceitful manipulations of my understanding of God, His written word and Jesus Christ His eternal son. Lord, I declare the promises of God are manifesting in my life right NOW, and the Holy Spirit counsels and empowers me. Amen.
