THE HOLY BLOOD

8th APRIL 2023

Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ?  – 1 Corinthians 10:16

The greatest mystery confronting humanity today is the mystery of God becoming a man, dwelling among men, and thereafter, offering himself as a ransom to heal and save the world. Explaining this mystery has been a difficult process.

In this mystery, we understand that the Christ of God took the form of Jesus Christ to pave the way for the reconciliation of God with man, through His shed blood on the cross at Calvary.  The question has also arisen, “Why must God through the blood of His son, save man from sin and destruction”? The answer is that the blood of Christ represents the very essence of the WORD of God by which ALL THINGS were created, including HUMANITY, and by which all things are now preserved and kept whole under the supreme will and sovereignty of God. Therefore, the WORD is the power that preserves and protects humanity and every creation of God from damage or destruction. Also, when man sinned and deserved to die, it became necessary for the power of God, in His WORD, to bring back man to life. The WORD of God is the son of God, Jesus Christ. The blood of Jesus, therefore, has NOT ONLY SAVED MAN FROM DEATH but has become the very essence of the life of God which continues to rebuild, protect and preserve our broken world from time to time.  At the LAST SUPPER, Jesus Christ gave us His blood and flesh, and declares that as many as would partake of the communion of His blood and flesh, they shall have their sins forgiven; They SHALL not die. This creates longevity and eternity for humanity by the grace of God. Therefore, the Cup has now become for us, a chalice of salvation and healing for the world from now till eternity.

The blood of Jesus Christ is HOLY BLOOD, containing His total divinity of body, soul, and spirit. This is the same blood that flows from the ETERNAL heart and soul of God, who by Himself is the Alpha and Omega – the holy one of Israel; The eternal God who is the beginning and end of all things. Jesus is the Christ of God; The one who proceeded from God, and is ONE with God ALL THE TIME, throughout eternity.

The Cup of the blessing of the Holy Communion is the Cup of salvation; The Cup that redeems and restores the broken and the sick; This is the grace and the love of God that restores balance to the world, especially during this period of plagues, wars, pandemics, and other afflictions.

Jesus says we must drink His blood and eat His flesh in memory of Him. As we do this today and always, we are renewed, healed, and made whole again. Also, wherever, the cup of blessing, the HOLY BLOOD of Christ is raised in Holy Communion, or pleaded in prayers, the whole of nature is renewed and preserved with a new life and spirit of God. As believers, therefore, we are called today to partake of the Holy Communion. When we take the Holy Communion, we are partaking of the very spirit of God, the life of God – the ETERNAL WORD OF GOD which created the whole world, and who also became Jesus Christ.

The shedding of the holy blood of Christ, therefore, heralded the redemption of man and the renewal of nature. Without the shedding of blood, nature, and humanity will perish. God, the Father knows that it is only by His WORD – His LIFE – HIS HOLY BLOOD, that humanity can truly be preserved, saved, and kept perpetually alive. And so, He made His WORD – His life and creative essence to become Jesus Christ, so He could actualize this significant blessing in the world. The word of God today reveals to us the power and blessing of the Holy Communion or the blood of Jesus. Are you ready to partake of the holy blood; the very LIFE, and the WORD of God, and to experience a total transformation?

The benefits of your decision are tremendous; What the holy blood does for us are:

1.      It remits sins (Matt. 26:28).

2.      It gives life to those who consume it (John 6:53).

3.      It causes us to dwell in Christ, as He is in us (John 6:56).

4.      It is the means by which Jesus purchased the church (Acts 20:28).

5.      It is the means by which Jesus becomes our atonement through faith (Rom. 3:25).

6.      It justifies us and saves us from wrath (Rom. 5:9).

7.      It redeems us (Eph. 1:7; 1 Pet. 1:18-19; Rev. 5:9).

8.      It brings those who were far away from God near to Him (Eph. 2:13).

9.      It grants us the forgiveness of sins (Col. 1:14).

10.    It brings peace and reconciliation between man and God as well as among all men. (Col. 1:20)

Today, we join Jesus on the throne of mercy; The one who restores life and preserves all things; The only true advocate between God and man; The one who first raised the Cup of salvation and redemption to a broken world. In return, we receive perfect healing for a world afflicted by disease and uncertainty; we are blessed and healed by body, spirit, and soul.

As we move towards Easter, therefore, Jesus calls us to hold onto the HOLY BLOOD for our well-being and for the healing of the whole world!

PRAYER

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, today, I raise up the Cup of salvation to a broken world, and I decree and declare that all things have become new again. Father, by the blood of Jesus Christ, we are healed and completely restored by thy grace.  Thank you, Father, AMEN.
