“Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, ‘Abba! Father!'” – Galatians 4:6
When a child cries out, there must be a reason. Either the child is hungry, or he is dissatisfied with certain things. But the soul’s cry is not filled by rules such as the need to eat when hungry or quench our thirst. The soul cries out for the lack of relationship to fill its hunger. The cry of every human soul is for the love and intimacy of the one who created it. That brings us to the question of our relationship with God.
Do you believe in the existence of God? Do you have a cordial relationship with God? We come to church service and sing hymns about how great God is, but we don’t often feel or know how close He is to us. We know God is Lord, but we struggle to have that intimate relationship with Him as our Father.
How do we develop that intimacy or harmony with God? We can only harmonize with God when we connect with Him soul to soul. Expressing it differently, we begin to attune or harmonize with God when we operate on the same frequency as Him. That means we have to share our spirit essences with God to blend with Him.
The word of God today says, because you are sons of God, you have received the spirit of God that cries ABBA Father! That means you are flowing into God and harmonizing with His holiness and power. If that is the case, then that spiritual harmony or synergy should take us to a different dimension where we begin to experience the power of God differently. When our spirit cries Abba Father, then it means we have become one with God – this is the spiritual synergy that makes us sons of God.
The spirit of ABBA Father is the spirit of sonship, where we begin a journey of intimacy with God. At that stage, you can say with confidence, “My father and I are one”!
PRAYER
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank you for your word today. The scripture says for as many as are led by the spirit are called the sons of God. Therefore, I declare I am filled by your spirit today. By thy grace, I have started to bear the fruits of the spirit. Lord, thank you for your power flowing through me right now. AMEN.
