”But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto“- Matthew 6:33
One shocking truth we will come to learn as Christians is the fact that God desires us to live in His presence and frequency at all times in other to achieve spiritual growth and success in life. Tuning to the higher frequency of God is like tuning to a radio frequency in search of our choice radio station. But we have to be careful here; just as there are different wavelengths that radio sets can pick up, there are also wavelengths that can be picked up by the human mind – The Satan’s wavelength can also be picked up. God’s wavelength produce fruits of the spirit such as love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control” – (Gal 5: 19-21). You must therefore examine yourselves to ascertain where you belong. Any wonder therefore, that Socrates says,” An unexamined life is not worth living", For Socrates, the examined life was the attainment of wisdom and intellectual humility. How then do we tell whether we are tuned to God’s wavelength or Satan’s? Check out the following: ONE, Your thoughts. Do you think good, clean, positive thoughts? Are your thoughts godly? Or is evil sometimes on your minds? To purge yourself of impure thoughts, focus on truth, honesty, justice etc. TWO, Check your friendships. What kind of friends do you keep?
The scriptures says; “Evil company corrupts good habits” (1 Corinthians 15:33). Just as a glass of water left in a room will eventually take on the temperature of that room, so we will become like those with whom we associate, for better or worse. THIRD, Our Eyes; what do we watch or read? Are you able to say to yourself, like David did - “I will set no wicked thing before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me”? (Psalm 101:3). FOURTH, check your conversation. How is your speech? Negative or positive? The scripture says, “Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one” (Col. 4:6). FIFTH, check your lifestyle. As Christians, it has been said that, “you may be the only Bible some will ever read.” Therefore, your actions must speak louder than your words. We are to be examples of God’s way of life to everyone with whom we come in contact. (II Corinthians 5:20) You may think nobody is watching you; people judge your religion by the way you conduct yourself in the midst of others. Therefore, let your conduct reflect obedience to God’s Laws. The word of God is telling us today to tune in to God and embrace His righteousness and His ways. Only then will we achieve success in life. His way is of peace, Love, Justice, Harmony, Kindliness, Piety, Humility, Sincerity, Forgiveness, Tolerance, etc. When we a tuned up to Him, He gives us power to become like Him and to achieve greater works. The Higher frequency is God’s own way! Endeavour to grow spiritually by tuning out Satan’s broadcasts from reaching you. Just as a person dials to a radio or a television station, ask yourself; “Am I tuned in to the correct frequency?”
